May we present: Sea Lion Olympics! 🥇🏊
Can you believe our sea lions didn't qualify for the 2024 summer Olympics? Turns out, you need to be human! But don't worry, they are still practicing their unique behaviors!
Our marine mammals have daily training and enrichment sessions with our staff. During these sessions our sea lions can be seen offering some of their natural behaviors, like porpoising out of the water, speed swimming, or showing off their vocal talents. As a form of enrichment, we often add items to their environment (like soccer balls and various toys) that help stimulate exercise, exploration, play, and more.
We think they all deserve gold medals, don't you?!
