Only file an LLC if you meet certain income guidelines. Otherwise you’re paying too much tax.

Hi Kristen! I just discovered your RUclips a couple days ago and am currently in the middle of a video binge 🙈 I’m loving your videos and really appreciate the time and effort you put into making them!
I just started my master esthetics program last August (my start date was constantly pushed back because of COVID) and the further I get into the program the more frightened I am of what comes after, especially with COVID life. It’s so nice though hearing from other esthetician’s on how they’ve thrived during this time!

Seriously you spoke right to my heart. This is the first video I’ve watched in making my decision to take this next step. Every bullet point you hit was something on my checklist/pros/cons/concerns. You backed them up with everything. I am ready… I love the mentor mentioning.. I am going to watch more of your videos now to see where you’re at with all of this!

Hi! My name is Juan! I'm currently in Esthetician school, and have been watching all of your videos. You are truly amazing, and inspiring, and I hope to open my own business as well one day. You are so talented, and very informative. Because of Covid classes are hybrid, but I truly learn more hands on. Watching your videos has helped me learn a lot more, and feel more confident in what I'm learning. Thank you!!

I have just came across your video and I had to stop and thank you for this. This hits home SO much. I have been an esthetician for almost 15 years (im 37 ) and most of that time I was in the cosmetic world, Lash extensions, Body waxing. event planning etc. but rarely used my license for skincare (even though i love it!) and over Covid i switched careers because i felt like i was physically and emotionally burning out...and that new career was INSURANCE! 😂I was also there for one year and GUUUURRRLL theres nothing like listening to angry customers on the phone to make you miss being an esthetician. I can't say I was ever able to travel throughout my career but i got to meet people literally from all over the world and have met some incredible friends and clients along the way. The skincare world is so exciting and im so happy for you that you found your calling! I am a former studio owner and now i am currently switching completely over to skincare, taking tons of advanced classes and getting ready to open my own lash lounge and spa. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching your vids! sending love from Pasadena, CA!!😘❤

Hey Kristen! I am Emily, a LMT who's been licensed as an esti for THREE years but only after the covid quarantine did I decide to really Push myself to get into aesthetics! I currently work at a Massage Spa who is offering me the opportunity to open a Skincare department. I LOVE doing facials, brows, and Lash extensions. I am working with PCASkin as my foundation, but I am looking to branch out and create custom facials and a luxury experience with organic, cruelty free, vegan products. This is my year to build, I am trying to learn as much as possible to establish a solid foundation with a goal of full time Esti by 2022! Thanks for these videos, I am so grateful!

Girl you have so inspired me!! I got my Esti diploma and license back in '02 when I was 22. Worked for a bit in a salon, and did some Esti work on my own before/after that. I never stopped learning, and although it is a passion, I foolishly let my license expire since I worked in Property Management for nearly a decade.. started studying for the exam recently to renew my license. Also reading other books to supplement. Will also be studying Advanced Esthetics. Been thinking of what exactly I could do once I have my license again.. I have many ideas, but the main one is having my own little office suite and business. I'm almost 42 and finally had the epiphany!
Btw the information you provide is incredibly valuable. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing. I'm also in Cali, so it really helps... when I can afford it, I'd love to take your Esti Biz courses!

Do you need to have 6 months of experience before you open your own spa?

So since you are still employed at a salon and started your own practice. What you do you do with your license, i don't want to be taking it back and forth from my personal suite to the salon i work at PT.
Any info you have on that will be helpful. thanks

Very similar story for me. I'm 3 years into my esthetician career. I was seeking a fulfilling, passionate career that I could stick to for the long-term. I'd been to college as well. Esthetics, however, I'm truly passionate about. I'm obsessed! I hadn't received any spa services either, but over time I checked out other places: floats, day spas, wax salons.

I am a business owner. I am not an esthetician but I have a start up esthetician business. I have an esthetician on my team and want to hire more. I found your channel to see if you have pointers to help me build their clientele. We use Facebook quite a bit but we are not very active on Instagram. I am learning that this industry relies on Instagram quite a bit.

I have a couple of seasoned Estheticians who are interested in working for me and helping newbies. I realized quickly I needed to find seasoned estheticians since most people applying are fresh out of school with no clients and no experience. you should add your website link and instagram link so people can get an idea of what to post.
