Yup this is it. When I was a kid our outdoor cat would disappear for long periods. She appeared once months later with kittens at our door.

Never underestimate how smart a cat is especially with navigation! Once when I was smaller we moved from one house to another my cat Jesse was an outdoor/indoor cat listened very well! Anyways we moved few kms away our cat ended up running away 2 weeks later we get a call from our old neighbour saying our cat is outside our old house waiting too get in!! Truly blew our minds!!
Yeah some animals are facinating. Just look at birds movind to another continent and finding its way back to exactly same place 6 months later

@@Jaydem_ clearly! As a young child the two weeks was heartbreaking we were at the point that we thought she was gone or dead! The call was a miracle we raced too get her right away!!

Yea my old cat did that three times when we moved. The house was over 6km away... That's about 3 miles.

Don't ever apologize about caring/loving an animal! Clearly you can be a man and care/miss a animal. Annie to all of you is a loved one. Pets can really affect our lives. They lift us up when were feeling over worked/tired or stressed. A pet is there every day can become an overlooked habit but when their not there we truly feel the loss.. We take for granted a pet being there everyday until their not. Pets are precious and give to us something another human can't. I just started watching your videos in the last few days and My being 59 years old..I was going to miss Annie..beautiful cat. So its not just kids that would have mourned the loss of Annie. This could be an old video? So anyway I'm glad you got your cat back..and thanks for showing you cared. God Bless.

I retired 3 years ago. I miss the work but more than anything else I miss the people I worked with. In 25 years they’ve come and gone but I remember them all! Your vids remind me to keep it simple, keep it fun, and don’t sweat the small stuff! Thanks Ryan!

You should ask nate if he wants his own shop and if youre down, to build him a building of his own on uour land. And u would give him a good deal so he can do all the maintenance on your trucks

That's actually a good idea. With all of the heavy duty equipment and trucks for the business, it would make a ton of sense to have a building specifically for your mechanic that will fit 2 or 3 of your trucks. With a lift and a well to get under the truck without having to lift it. I hope Ryan sees this

Time to make sure Annie doesn't get out again 😂 glad she's okay. You should also just make your own boiled eggs that you can throw in a bowl in the fridge, then grab them and go in the AM's. Probably cheaper, easier and quicker that way.

We are happy Annie is back ❤ and a doggie door invites other little critters into the home. Annie will probably try this again and again until she heads into the next seasonal faze of her next 8 lives. 😊
I'd do more for my animals than I would for 90% of the people out there. They are family. Especially when you've been around them your whole life, and all they've done for you.

Cats know where they get fed at, they will come back. I can understand worrying about cars and other wildlife though. I had a cat for 18 years, he got lost for 2 weeks one time and managed to find his way back, you could tell he was wore out
Had a cat show up 3 months later. We assume some one cat napped him and he made an escape 😆

I was so relieved to hear Annie came back!! My cats are my "Kids with Paws", so I don't ever say "its just a cat" here :) They are my babies. Both Dogs and Cats can be thought of as family members :)

Being sad over a cat is not silly. They are family! When we lost our 15 year old cat we were completely devastated. He was a HUGE part of our family and daily routine for 15 years.

Glad u found Annie! As long as shes fixed and not declawed she's fine outside. Besides coyotes lol, maybe put an apple tag on her collar or the vet has some tracking chips they put on them

You need to use thru-bolts on those aluminum panels with the plywood. Self-tapping screws will only hold for so long, especially under vibration and strain as on the truck.

We tried to keep our cat in too, but like Annie she wants to be outdoors. We stopped fighting it and just hope she makes smart decisions. It’s her life and we want her to enjoy it.
Annie doesn't realize that she's been declawed. So she can't defend herself outside.

this is the reason why dozens of bird, reptile, and rodent species have gone extinct. Irresponsible owners not keeping their invasive species pet outside of the local ecosystem.
We walk ours as we are in the city it works well they never run outside
@@thejoke2791 wrong....I have had 2 declawed cats (adopted that way) that climbed our privacy fence, killed birds, brought snakes in the house through the dog door, whipped the neighbor cats. They are just fine, they defend with the back feet and can still swat with the front.

Our barn cats and chickens were out today and there were 5 turkey buzzards flying overhead so my wife and I called all the chickens and barn cats into the barn and closed the doors. My wife has named all the chickens and I know all the barn cats so they are part of the family. So I know just what you were feeling about Annie. God bless them all, the Lord God made them all. And we as shepherds worry about our flock.
Just a cat? Good grief! My best buddy Pepper got really sick in just a few days and I dropped him of at the vet's office for blood work and an overnight stay. Later that day the vet called and said his blood count of something, I don't remember exactly, was dropping fast. He said a this time he recommends "humanitarian euthanasia" , a phrase that hit me like a ton of bricks. I showed back up in a few hours and they led me to a dimly lit "comfort room" where I got to hold him for the last time before he was put down. My heart was broken. I blubbered all the way home. I didn't realize how much I loved him. Not just a cat, trust me.

Ryan doesn’t care about pets. Referred to Jade as “the dog” many times and same with Annie. Got mad at “the cats” vet bill a while back. They are simply an object to him.
I added this comment a little to soon. After he described how many days Annie was gone and how worried and sad everyone was I realized he had a soft spot for the cat after all. Glad Annie showed up in one piece!
Some people deal with emotions differently is all. He obviously cares about her and has a morning routine with her every day

Please read this comment!! I don't see it in your videos but do not put a collar on your cat, if they go outside many times they can get caught on a branch of a bush or a tree or something and then they're stuck and they literally starve to death I've seen it happen several times. Do not put a collar on your cat for any reason. I'm suspecting the reason she was so hungry she may have gotten trapped and couldn't get home, because if she was hungry she would have came home to eat she knows where the food is. I'm glad your cat came home they are truly family members.
Just a little bit of logic. The whole point of the collar is if she goes they can find her. She's not going to starve to death bc they will go get her. Like you said she probably got stuck and that's why she didn't come home. If she had a GPS collar on she wouldn't have been stuck for a week
@@jacobkolkmeier2285 most people don't put GPS collars on cats, what they generally use are flea collars or some little decorative collar with a bell That's what I'm talking about.
Most cat collars are breakaway, 3-4 lbs of force and they break off
He showed the collar in the video, getting her chipped would be the ultimate idea. The one Ryan got is a breakaway one, found the exact one on amazon.

Ryan my cat Missy is 21 years old. I’m a blue collar god fearing man myself but I care for that Cat so much. Got her Christmas 03 I believe. Im almost 30 now.
You don't have to put up some macho facade with "it's just a cat it's kinda silly." It's one of God's creatures and part of your family.

When I was a child, our black cat, Aloisius, pronounced Al-O-Wish-Us, went missing for over two years and one night near Christmas, there she was hanging on the outside screen door, meowing to come in, just like she used to do. She was in good shape, so I think someone was taking care of her. She never went missing again.
