But when it's Hikaru then 5 points is not adoption. You guys are all coherence.
And trust me that Hikaru (the favourite to win the tournament along with Magnus) was much more pissed for losing by 5 points to Alireza than Niemann for losing to 5 points to Magnus, which is something normal.

Hans is a great chess player. But he's got the personality of a snobby pretentious debate club nerd and a highschool bully merged into one. It makes an extremely difficult task to even wanna root for him to get his redemption.

Hans had basically no choice but to get his act together in todays interview after being thoroughly humbled twice. But let's not forget that just two days ago he was claiming that he had mentally broken Magnus and namecalling both Hikaru and Levy.
Do we really believe he would have showed this tact and respectful demeanor if he had won? Ofcourse not. He's got just enough common sense to realize that acting cocky and calling yourself a revolutionary would look silly when you've just been destroyed, but that same disrespectful asshole is still there undereneath the facade he put on in todays interview.

How emotional and great was that. It's been a long time, a lot of drama. The way all talked today, hikaru, hans and how levy and danny analysed and summarized it in the end, it was almost heartbreaking. Chess is a big cool family and i love you all. And i hope hans is getting on the right track and i think kramnik is not a good influence.

Hans biggest problem is that he resides in his character and image over anything. He doesn’t have humility and it showed when asked about if he could train with Magnus but he said it would make him weak or less superior. If that’s the case then why do we use engines. He is missing the point that it is not meant to be seen as less superior rather learn from a different perspective to become better

31:50 'He's 36. There's gonna be a time when Hikaru is sitting in his pineapple shirt and he's just gonna have to watch me win tournament after tournament. He is gonna be even too old to compete'
That is a very toxic thinking and shows how immature Hans is. He just wants to win doesn't matter how. A champion's mentality is wanting your opponent to be at his best so that you can both play your best games. A champion would curse the sky for not being born in the same period as what is said to be the GOAT, instead Hans would play a 70 year old Magnus, win that game and say he had a 100% win percentage against the GOAT, therefore he is better. It's like a teenager running around Usain Bolt's deathbed and screaming 'who's faster now? Who's faster now?' It is disgusting
