Using HTML, SVG, and JavaScript to create a dynamic design inspired by Victor Vasarely's Capella

In this video we look at an HTML page with an SVG (scalable vector graphics) element that is populated by JavaScript to create a design inspired by Victor Vasarely's work Capella. The code first lays down a sequence of colored rectangles varying vertically in their "lightness" (in a Hue-Saturation-Lightness color model) as well as their hue changing in time. The code then adds a set of polygons that are constructed to suggest a set of concentric circles.
