This was an absolute incredible set context, Booce_Lee has emerged in NA East as the best Ken in America. In Season 2, Booce has taken a serious level up, being a star player in SFL consistently getting high placements in World Warriors, his consistency with the Ken led to him having a spot in regionals for Capcom Cup, he also earned a top 8 at East Coast Throwdown. For those unfamiliar to the SF scene NA East is considered the 2nd hardest region in the world after Japan, this region being led by the monster duo of NuckleDu and Punk. His Ken is very meticulous, Booce is known for his preparation, he will do so much studying of film, drill for specific scenarios, and have a hyper detailed gameplan for the strongest in his region, having a very respectable record against Du and actually taking a World Warrior off of NuckleDu and Mena. In Season 2 Booce has tourney wins against all the elites of the region, Du, Shine, IDom, everyone except Punk. Punk has been the one player Booce has just consistently been losing too in tourney, in 2024 he wasn't able to beat him, even in runs where he got into Winners and Grand Finals, there were some matches where it was genuinely close, but Punk was undefeated, mostly due to the fact Punk was just an edge stronger on the ground, plus getting those big confirms from whiff punishing more than Booce did. So to start 2025 first Can Opener, Punk and Booce meet in Top 16, Punk beats him 3-0, the last round being an extremely impressive comeback by Punk to win the game, a close 3-0, the grand finals arrive, Punk dominated Strider in Winners Finals, and Booce has beaten a collection of Shine, Psycho, NuckleDu, Strider. Booce has been playing out of his mind in losers brackets he gets to Punk and we get 10 matches of high level street fighter, GF and GF reset both being long 3-2's in favor for both men. Punk beats Booce in a last game last round match, becoming the winner of 2025's first Can Opener. Continuing his undefeated streak against who is currently NA's best Ken.
Punk has all of his accolades, so no need to say anything there. Booce though, is like Punk in terms of reactions, footsies, and overall strategy. I hope to see more of Boose on the world stage representing America in SF6.
He can adapt in longer sets. Notice how in later games he starts playing really safe after he downloaded Booce. At this point set ups won’t work well for them and they will have to play fundamentals to decide the winner, and this is something that Punk is usually good at.

AI?
@@thenewperson Nope, hand written, just in case people didn't know who Booce was.
I really like this analysis
Real Life still writes the best stories. Didnt know this history of Booce! Going to keep an eye out for him for sure!
Great synopsis!!!!

11:35 This sequence is insane. What exactly Cammy can do to avoid that run-DP-level 3 chip?
Booce gave away some rounds there by pushing his luck, like R3 of game 2. Overall, nice match.
yes fgod level !!
