Umi does great against the current meta. I Have been using so many variations (Swordsoul, Hero Zero and Atlanteans) added some back row removal stuff too, also the board wipe version (Daedalus) comes UP when i am in a mood, since it feels great to wipe Sprights away! I am having a hard time facing mechamatichs... Very hard to break a board going Second.
Mutant could not target you with its effect because of SSA2. I made a Umi Control rocking Absolute zero and I am actually climbing and summoning abs zero very consistently haha. Winning jank is the best. GG Joel!
@Soma Kun I run 3 vion, 2 shadow mist, and 1 liquid. 2 mask change 2 Poly and 1 miracle. Extra deck is 1 sunrise, 2 Abs zero 1 dark law and 1 acid. And one rota. That is the basic hero engine and the rest is standard Umi Control and hand traps that can fit at 40 cards. The rest of the Extra deck does not seem to matter. So if you can run 3 of each needed card you can probably still get away with pot's. I am still working on it and play testing it though so I have not settled on anything yet. It feels like a going second deck because the deck has too few hand traps and zero 1 card starters so you need the extra card. Turtle kaiju, dark ruler, and Forbidden Droplet and Maxx C are my going second support. If I get it running better I can provide a full decklist and maybe submit a replay or two to SK. Kinda late to this. I hope Cosmic Ocean return as secret pack. Running Pacifis version. Only one Keiryu-shin is hard searching Sea Stealth. My SR/UR CP already low. Still learning but having fun in most duel with this deck.
you should be playing earth golem @ignister for super poly, that way you hit sprite elf and masq away. also, you should consider testing with skull mariner. it sets up a lot believe it or not.
@@simpking2500 Only if u use the floodgate called There Can Be Only One, it works well since its a water warrior which also synergizes with the whale in GY and gets special summoned of the fish sonar.
I stopped using the Kaiju because it is just a 1 for 1 trade which sucks, i am running now Dark Ruler No More since we do not really need the battle phase.
@@simpking2500 Every time u summon a token the field spell will let u search for a trap card. That will negate a monster effect of pop a card on the field. U can use those trap cards like hand traps. Phantasm spiral battle and Phantasm spiral power. These are the trap cards I'm talking about.
The ice barrier monster is a warrior so it gets searched by the whale. It also banishes spells which is really good vs runick. Pacifis spell is gas because token
Am I one of the only people who feels like runick spright isnt that great in MD. Feels like its just getting carried by popularity rather than being the best variant.
I feel they are very strong, especially when you look at tournament performance. On the ladder however a lot of scrubs play it badly or play budget versions. So it's not as frightening there haha

I haven't seen mathmechs very much, but comic forces the super factorial to activate so they waste the pops, then you can Kaiju the xyz

Spright runic player should have gone into Avramax, during your main would have been a smart move only being outed to tributes.

I like Kaiju because it's searchable. Agree it's just one for one but sometimes opponent has some boss tower and Kaiju is the best out

In january I reach D4 with Umi control. But last month was impossible, going second sucks.
