The life and times of Juniper Lee, American dragon jack long, Jackie chan adventures, Xiaolin show down, Amy wu homecoming warrior, and now Jentry chau vs the underworld 🎉
This show feels classic, like those early 2000's Disney shows, but also very modern, like Amphibia. It's a mix that is hard to get right, but this show does it perfectly.
I loved the subversion of expectations that Gugu doesn't push Jentry insanely hard for her training, like you'd expect in a story about a kid who needs to hone their powers for an important task. As soon as Jentry was able to light the chakram easily, Gugu stopped her to let her rest and have fun at the restaurant until time. That was sweet.
You know what this is giving Its giving that spark we got from the owl house/amphibia its giving that spark that made love those shows so im am here for this especially the art style its so unique its like a mix between kipos animation with a little bit of Invincible animation
A sad notice is that the creator planned many seasons but they know that Netflix probably won't aprove a s2 (by that they fused the 1st 2 seasons) But danm they really need it(not because the s1 finish in cliff hanger ,beacuse this show its fucking amazing and deserve it)
Don't jinx it castlevania nocturne had a massive negative review count on season 1 and it got a season 2 don't jinx it give it time it came out one week from now
@@LordBanana0Plot threads, not cliffhangers. Cliffhangers are when the conflict is left unresolved at a point of high tension (like literally hanging from a cliff).
@@LordBanana0except the 3 last episodes were rushed and skipped over key plot and character arcs. You can't just go backwards and fill in the gaps. The story already happened.

I saw a lot of the comments on the trailer saying what I was about to say on this show: it’s like a revival of Juniper Lee from Cartoon Network. Title of a mystical-powered Asian hero passed down from the grandmother to the current teenage daughter that fundamentally demolishes any normal social life the daughter had. (13:53 Hint of American Dragon: Jake Long too 😁) Liking this a lot so far so I would like these reactions to keep coming
I saw the commercials for this, and it's looking very good so far! It's funny how many shows have the "Chinese - American teen dealing with the supernatural" plot now. I can't wait to watch on my own! I don't know if you take recommendations for shows, but I hope you give "Kipo and the age of the Wonderbeasts" a try cuz it's very similar in tone as this show. It's really good!
Right, they wrapped it up so well. It was bitter-sweet but it's so satisfying. They don't need a second season, it's fine as is. I'd like it if they could go another season, but where do they go from there?

This show is sooooo amazing and it reminds me of some other shows I’ve seen. Jentry is kinda like Amity in a way, they both have similar hair and are really good at fighting as well as how similar their personalities are

I'm not sure if I will get back around for Beastars. The interest on both Patreon and RUclips were low and I don't 'love' the series enough make the time to watch it.
I watched the show before this and somehow completely ignored the times that the show blatantly said Jentry Chau was Chinese and overtime the K-pop and the fact that she was living in Seoul at the start of the show convinced me that she was Korean and now I feel racist.

It was a very refreshing take... Too bad Gugu probably should have at least gone with basic training just in case
This was an incredible show! 10/10 for me. The music, action, teen drama, and art style were great, even had me emotional at some points.
