You'd be hard pushed to see a hard-pack track these days

What? From start of practice through the qualifying races Saturday and then all the motos Sunday they don't water or groom the tracks in MXGP, at all. There's multiple hard pack rounds in MXGP and they get rough as hell. Same with AMA motocross, while it's prepped and watered throughout the weekend until the motos start, by the tims the second motos roll around there's not much moisture left in quite a few rounds.. Pala, Unadilla to name two, and some may not seem like it on camera many of the tracks have a hard base, even SouthWick has a base under the sand. Hang town and GlenHelen used to get hard pack too, even though neither track are part of the series anymore. They rip the AMA tracks deeper now than they used to so practice and first motos gets super deep normally, it was tough on the 250s the last 2 years, especially during first practice, but they will dry out throughout the day.

Real hard-pack is missed nowadays, especially in pro races
