- School improvement expert Dr. Howard M. Knoff shares how social and emotional learning paired with effective classroom management can drive academic success. Our national education system has seen a huge push towards academic rigor in the past decade -- but in the shuffle, important social, emotional and behavioral learning has gotten lost. Dr. Howard M. Knoff, the founder of Project ACHIEVE, shows teachers how they can reintroduce these important skills into their classroom repertoire and in the process, drive academic rigor in a way that's effective and authentic.

Achieve freedom from behavioral issues. Learn effective classroom management with a concentration in Building Strong Schools. To help P-12 educators effectively address student's social, emotional and behavioral issues, American College of Education has collaborated with Howard M. Knoff, Ph.D., Creator and Director of Project ACHIEVE, to offer an online Concentration in Building Strong Schools to Strengthen Student Outcomes (A Project ACHIEVE Institute).
The concentration provides practical, field-tested approaches -- at classroom, teacher and student levels -- in the related areas of classroom discipline and behavior management; teaching students' social, emotional and behavioral skills; and how to understand and respond to students demonstrating challenging behavior in the classroom.
