Thank you guys for all this love on the new book! YES we noticed the Amazon preview glitch where a photo doesn’t match the recipe next to it. That is purely an Amazon error which should be fixed soon, and it’s not like that in the book! Anyway carry on, I love you all, can’t wait for you guys to have this book!!!
First reply 🥇!

Instant preorder!! Thank you PaPa
Thanks You For this Papá Joshua!
Please leave a hearth!❤❤❤❤
Love how dry the Norwegian staff was, it's so funny to see the contrast between Norwegians and Americans
The chef janne is finnish probably and yet he is way too talkative for a finn
It's typical nordic humour haha
Especially Josh's wacky character!
@@LividTunic Janne is definitely a Finn (or maybe Sami or Kven), but based on his accent I would guess he's lived in Norway all his life. No hint of the Finnish accent in his English.
If you think they are dry, you should see the swedes!
Joshua, you should consider doing this like a mini series “around-the-world-ish”, where you catch and cook meat/ or just cook some really local food with the locals. Your charisma is so perfect for that ❤ and educate your viewers on these amazing experiences
YES, lets push this man to be the next Bourdain. Well.. not fully.
I second that
Co-signed. Also congrats to Josh and Katie on their recent nuptials.
Totally agree. Would watch the shit out of that series
@@Biggl oh God too soon 😭
Chef Janne is actually hilarious, his energy complements Josh's so well

Super video
Again Josh, congrats on your marriage. Many more memories are yet to be made with Katie. Imagine having a professional chef/RUclipsr/husband like Josh
bahahahahahaha Josh is not a professional chef, never has been 😂🤣😂🤣 he was a COOK for 2 years, never got a qualification, never went to culinary school, and has spent pretty much all of his time posting narcissistic wank material on youtube stealing other people's recipes, or pretending he's a hero by cooking "better" food than a FAST FOOD joint, that costs him way more and takes 100 times longer... yeah, what a chef...
Beep bop... I'm the Philosophy Bot. Here, have a quote:
"But what is happiness except the simple harmony between a man and the life he leads?"
~ Albert Camus
ok
Chef Janne is a treasure, great chemistry between him and Josh
100% Agree!!
I love how they were talking about how the king crab is an invasive species and then the fisherman flipped one over to stop it from running.
That was so hilarious I was like "damn, thats not a lot to stop it lmao"
Tonic immobility ftw
I really love how the dry humor and bluntness us Scandinavians tend to possess contrasts with someone high energy (and Amercian) like Josh. The dynamic between him and chef Janne was everything!
Sidenote: You look either like an Asbjørn, Frej/Freyr or Leif to me.
Never met a guy named Freyr here in Norway. Maybe a 1000 years ago
@@jonathanflopstein8587 I think the name (especially the spelling "Frej") is way more popular here in Denmark. :)
Janne is finnish, not scandinavian...
@@saramorin4792 Sorry, I didn't know that. I just assumed he was Norwegian because Josh said their menus were designed by the greatest chefs in Norway, and never said that he was Finnish. Janne is a very common name here in Denmark (mostly as a female name) and across Scandinavia, so forgive me for assuming he was Norwegian. //gen. My own name Janni is also common here but I know a Finnish guy with the name Janni. That being said I think the dry humor and bluntness is a wonderful common trait our cultures share.
@@LPdedicated his entire name is completely finnish, the difference between finnish language compared to scandinavian languages is Night/Day.
As a Norwegian, this was funn to watch, and see my culture be recognized the way it was
Did not expect it but love it 😊
@@torbernt86 Right!
Same!
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ what
me too im from norway
Absolutely love this video mate! Btw, i want a rematch against you! I’ve learned so many new cooking skills, it’s insane! I would argue that I’m the best airfryer chef on RUclips 😂
That you are
He does love his food
Nico i love ya man, sexy beast ❤❤
Hi Nico!!!! 👋 I love seeing you & Josh compete!! Haha 😆
😂😂
The best part is ofc that Janne is (at least originally) Finnish. He has exactly the type of humour we love
the norwegian chef is like someone who has trained their whole life and does critical thinking on food for 2 hours a night and josh is like the idiot savant who just happens to know how to make anything taste delicious lmao
😂
He's actually Finnish lol
Janne and Josh are such a great pair of chefs.
And pretty fun to watch to 😂
Josh ain't a chef by any definition. Line cook or fitter and turner are closer to what he does.
Agreed!!
@@begeneiner ummm no, he was lead COOK at Uchiko for a couple of years, that was it for his "fine-dining" work. He also never attended any culinary school, nor received any form of official qualifications. All of this is publicly available knowledge. But keep simping Queenie.
Janne's dry humor had me rolling. Killer dishes too! ❤
That’s how most of Scandinavian/Nordic folk tend to be.
Kimi raikkonen once responded to “we noticed you weren’t at the ceremony” (I think it was Pele related) with “bwoah I was having a sh*t”
Edit:bwoah
Love to see that our neighbours took such good care of him and I'm glad Joshua was made to take the polar plunge. Everyone should try an icebath at least once in their lives, it's both refreshing and relaxing, but it's even better if you have access to a sauna and go from a sauna to the water a number of times.
Definitely one of my favourite videos that you've done! really like the travel and cook at the source aspect - big props!
This guy is good at cooking, he should become a chef
Nah I think he should be a waiter 💪💪

My condolences, Joshua, your sacrifice wont be forgotten, dedication is insane
Incredible video Josh! The quality and effort is outstanding.
Joshua is like the second coming of Gordon Ramsay, with his travel, hunt and cook series
Chef Janne got savage sense of humor, i love it
ngl im digging the new direction of the channel, a lot of Josh's recipes lately have felt a little out of the realm of possibility for someone who works a day job to have the energy to recreate. The new framing of the recipes as almost event like allows for imparting cooking knowledge while feeling more like im watching food network or travel channel. I like it!
ain’t nobody who works all day gonna come home and make a king crab dish
@@bennettruck8515 thats the point. It isn't about coming home to cook the dish anymore. Its spectacle, which I think is better for the over the top energy the channel usually has
@@gradientforce761yeah hes already over the top so this style fits him a lot, i
Really hope you were satisfied with your stay in Norway. You really get to experience Norway at its best, from north to south with Hurtigruten! More of this please, loved the video!😍 Best Regards from Northern Norway
Best challenge video yet; good competitor (not that that was ever a problem before), better choice in judge, and GREAT setting! Hope you enjoyed the cruise experience, that must've been a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.
After Marriage
Everyone: Let's have a baby!
Meanwhile Josh:
Goes to Norway
Dives in freezing water
"My kids are frozen"
When you were throwing the hook, I remembered watching Deadliest Catch all those years ago. But Norway is always much more relaxed and down to earth compared to Alaska where people go fishing in the middle of winter in a sea where blizzards and swells rage 24/7.
Because Alaskan crab in Norway is $100 vs $900.
Which competition is cut throat.
Captain Keith would’ve flayed Josh alive for that first hook toss lmao.
it's because Alaskans are freaks
One thing I love about this guy is he is able to make the average joe confident they can follow his other videos...and then do shit like this with good chefs. Wish I went into culinary instead of trucking 😔
this was such a dope episode. i hope we you continue to have experiences like this and share them with us! glad to have you back 😊
Man he will really go through extreme levels to get us high quality content 😂
Steve deserved better than boiling over, justice for Steve!🤣
Love your content Joshua!!!! Keep it up man! Congrats on the 2nd book which i will be getting!!!!
That crab looks amazing Tom!!!
Yes! I called the trip to Norway in previous video... Thanks for the visit to our country Josh and welcome back any time. We have plenty of weird and delicious food here.
I Love your cookoffs with other professional chefs. Always a delight to see.
YES! Cookbook officially preordered! So psyched for this!
I don’t do it often but today I watched two 30sec unskippable ads as a gift for Joshua’s weeding it ain’t much but that’s all I could do for you Joshua. Love your videos and keep up the good work ❤❤❤
As a Norwegian, I would love to see you have a cook-off with Eyvind Hellstrøm.
Those two personalities mixed together would be funny lol
Bring Truls along for the shits and giggles! Him and Joshua would be hilarious
Had taken a break from Josh's videos, but decided to take a chance on this one. Glad I did. The Norwegian chef was a riot.
The Florida gator one with Guga and Rob is worth checking out too.
josh, these travel cooking videos are great. hope to see your channel leaning more towards this direction. 🙏🏻
Even though there were only a few short cuts of that sweet fishing vessel, this is AWESOME.
Being a fan of your work for several years, and norwegian, I really enjoyed this! :D
I hope to visit Norway some day-My ancestors were fishermen from Drøbak!😃
If you made your cookbooks in braille, I would definitely buy it.
you should try to cook on an aircraft carrier for a full crew!!
The back and forth is always fun between competing chefs. Fun stuff.
Thanks for visiting! Hope you enjoyed our freezing north!
I hope you enjoyed Norway 😁 and congratulations on your wedding 🎉
I really enjoyed watching this video; it felt like you had taken us through the procedure of cooking a crab, from catching it to making two different culinary creations and on the sea. Plus,I liked the fact that you corrected the salty sauce by adding lemon juice; it was a thrill! Keep up these kinds of videos ! 🦀
Calling the chef daddy and immediately apologizing 😭😂😂😂😂😂 "I'm sorry 🥲"
The banter between the chefs made this my favorite video
These kind of videos will get you to the next level. I like watching travel cooking shows. I think I laughed through most of this video. Great job!!
Your book is fantastic mate I'm super impressed and I own a restaurant and I'm mind blowing with all the goodness and foundation of it!
love this Chef's banter
It’s nice to see how your channel has come along, this is equal parts entertainment and cooking, really great to see, more like this Josh
Love this video style Josh - the team killed it!
This is one of your best videos ever please do this style more often
Nice, Thank you for showing off Norway in a good light, I was so happy to se my country on your channel
Congratulations man and thank you for all your cooking videos. I'm definitely getting your book. Your recipes are life savers.
there was pure joy in janne's "i'm very happy"
First off, congratulations to you and Katie! I’m very happy for you both.
Second, I love this style of video. I hope you travel to more places and do ones like this. (And I love crab! You really needed a crab-loving crew member to judge your dishes.)
Third, yay! A new book! Now I’m off to reserve my copy. My son and I consult the current one pretty often when we’re planning meals for the week.
truly one of the most renowned chefs in the world
That was one of the most spectacular shows! I love the first part - information on the crab, Hurtgruten (sp?) catching it and so forth before the actual cooking. Its all encompassing from information on the catch & its surroundings, to the table. Fantastic! I would love to see more of these. I never commented on the alligator with Guga, that was great also! I hope you make more collaboration and travel videos. Continue to educate us, its fascinating.
I'll admit at being envious of getting to eat king crab that fresh. When I've had it it's obviously been processed and shipped and it was good, but that had to be next level. You'd have earned points if you'd done a total dunk. I mean seriously, do the polar bear thing and jump in.
I've been watching your vids for a long time, I'm happy to see your vids trending now
Thanks for a fun/serious exploration of king crab in Norwegian waters. And congrats on your marriage!
Yay! You're back! Congratulations on your wedding ❤🎉
I just love Joshua he is so worth buying that cookbook
I pre-ordered your cookbook faster than anything I've ever pre-ordered!
Josh’s videos are always so cinematic
I I just got the notification from youtube for this video and I want to say that I am happy for your return to RUclips after your wedding. I hope your channel grows as much as possible and you have a happy and healthy life with the important people in your life ❤
Holy Shit Josh, your production in your last few videos is insane, thank you for doing this, truly the best cooking channel!
Congrats on your wedding Joshua. Wishing you guys all the best.
I loved the fact he humiliated the chefs recipe lmao, he did sooo much more, and the ravioli option was made by the cruises management
liked this series - refreshing change of pace and not too over-hypey
Lots of love Josh!! You're truly an amazing papa :)
you did good cant wait for your new book to come out
The love of my life is back 🤩💞 I hope your wedding was epic ❤️ I really missed your cooking and voice 😂😂
Congrats on your next step in life with Kate!! Wonderful video and was crazy to see such a cook off. Poor Josh, you were totally at a disadvantage with the captain not liking crab xD I feel like you lost cuz the other one "didn't taste like crab" haha. But looks like you all had so much fun ^_^
The quality of the photos and framing already look like a qualitative leap from the first cookbook. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
I just bought your first one last week and i love it ! Cant wait to get this one, and love your videos ! From New Zealand ❤
Hey josh I’m so excited for the new cook book. Back in February I got your first cook book for my birthday. And just yesterday I pre order the new one. Can’t wait for October!
Damn brother this is one for the books. Hope you thoroughly enjoyed visiting Norway, come again soon! I'm sure you found out that Norwegians are only this stiff and weird in the absence of alcohol 😆
Fresh king crab is incredibly awesome by itself!
I wouldn't have done anything but make a sauce and steam the crab. I bet you would have won just with that!
Such a cool video!! Thank you for sharing!
Incredible book concept!
It does not matter if you are in Norway, Sweden or Finland, sooner or later you'll meet a guy called Janne and you can be sure he knows what he's doing.
Shoutout to Josh for going to these extremes for the content. And welcome back ❤
Love this style of content
That’s the best episode ever!
I'm just here, to say that chef Janne is actually finnish, not norwegian, judging from his distinctly finnish name. So uh...go Finland! Torille?
Chef: Make things not too complicated Every video from Josh: 💀
Enjoyed this style of video
I love this reality tv cooking show (top tier) :)
Way to go Josh 😉🇦🇺
Make a dish using mushrooms 🍄
This made me laugh so hard. Well done Josh!
It was rigged. the other chef knew how the captain liked his food 🤭🤭
is the cookbook in metric or imperial units? this is make or break for me so I need to know :)
Both 😁
