    I am interested in seeing the performance when you add 2 more adults onboard.

    By the way
    Awesome review on the 35e
    Can’t wait to see what Mercury can achieve in the future

      This test is invalid as motor height is extremely wrong, I don't even know how mercury allowed you to do this haha

    Can you show a close up of the motor mounts please

    Great video. Cheers! Unfortunately, these higher-end electric motors are not very cost effective or practical for us average boaters. Nowhere near. I have an ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus that I use as a kicker/trolling motor on a 16' Lund, but my main motor is a Honda 20HP that gets the boat up on plane immediately, can cruise nicely at 15-18 mph, and just sips gas. I doubt that the motor featured here could approach that kind of performance with this boat, and the purchase price with power start and tilt comes in at just under $4000 (US).

      This is exactly what we said in the video.

      Yeah, I appreciated your assessment. Just thought I'd add some of my own real-world experience with electrics vs petrol...

    A long way to go before anything for a fisherman. Do these have solar charging capability?

    • @FishingMonthly
      @FishingMonthly  11 месяцев назад +5

      I think that portable solar won’t put a dent in the requirements for daily use.

    In the interest of conserving space can you run the 35e and 20e without the junction box and plug the external battery directly into the motor?

    Can’t believe you did a test with the wrong shaft length! The drag is massive let alone not having more propellers to test 🤦🏻‍♂️🙈🙉🇦🇺

    • @FishingMonthly
      @FishingMonthly  Месяц назад +1

      When that’s the only one available you have to get it done. Also, there’s only one propeller for the Avator.

    So in Norway it's 15000$ USD... For a 9,9 electric motor.... Unsure if that includes one or two batteries

    Price and range is a joke .. but give it at least 10 years of development

      If my lake doesn't allow gas motors is the price and range still a joke?

      I am doing research on electric motors for that reason. Just wondering if there is a better option

    Is that a plastic prop or metal prop? Looks cool

    • @FishingMonthly

      Some sort of composite. Not metal.

    What about salt anyone who fishes salt water knows how destructive it is to anything mechanical- electrical not for me.

    • @FishingMonthly
      @FishingMonthly  11 месяцев назад +4

      So your outboard isn’t mechanical - electrical? These are Salt water warranted but still not in a price ballpark for everyday applications.

      I understand what you’re saying but Minn Kotas and motorguides have been living in salt water for years and they are pretty reliable

      No one has done a side by side with a gasser. 35e is 4.9hp at prop at what rpm? A 9.9 running 5500rpm with 2:1 gear box will turn prop at 2500rpm and will plane a lot of small boats. This boat was not on plane

      @@FishingMonthlywhy not row the boat? No charging and no big batteries all over the place, and it won't cost 15000$
