    The Guess Who not only made a lot of great hit songs, but their albums were superb too! It is pathetic that they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

      You are right! Why aren't they in the RaRHoF?
      On the other hand, we should not have any respect for RaRHoF, once about more than 20 yrs. ago they have inducted the band of Bruce Springsteen (only his band), while there have been a long waiting line of real stars and talents. No respect for RaRHoF!!!!

      Yes, awesome tune. I always check the date when these songs were on the show an I was born in 74 but almost exactly 4 months later but on July 25th. An you prolly would’ve baby sat my snot nose bratty ass! 😂 jk PEACE!

    What an amazing voice he had. You never realize exactly how great his range was until you start trying to sing some of the stuff he sang yourself. Trust me, you won’t be able to reach the notes…if you’re a guy. And he sang them in full voice! He was an unbelievable singer.

    It has amazed me all my life how anyone can play an instrument, any instrument and sing at the same time. I would totally screw it up. Burton, Randy and so many other are masters at their crafts.

    Back home from Viet Nam too find out my first love had found @ guy. Then this song.Wow, killer lyrics. Mr Cummings allowed me to move on and stay whole. Thanks so much MS for saving these very ' special' performances..

    They played at a tiny Air Force base at Neah Bay Washington back in the 70’s. My folks brought home black t shirts with red band logo lettering front and back. I’m at shirt collector and dang I wish I could even find one today. Good memories

    I love this song. Burton Cummings' voice is outstanding and he's unbelievable on the piano. For some fun, and a look at his sense of humor, there are a few videos out on YT from concert footage of him doing an impression of Gordon Lightfoot singing Rod Stewart's Maggie May. The Guess Who were one of my favorites as a teenager.

    This guy's voice is spectacular, and I wish there was more of him. That said, can you really call this band The Guess Who without Randy or Carl? The Burton Cummings Band would sound just as good, just without the name recognition.

    That was a little more subdued than the recording, which was nice for the venue. Great song! Burton has such a unique voice, and I always gravitated toward it. Nice piano playing, too. It's strange to see him with that clean-cut look, though. Hehe

      @@gregoryduncan3067 The recording had what sounded like a few strings, if I remember correctly. Maybe not though. I just meant this performance was a tad bit slower and has a more intimate feel, especially since they highlighted Burton and the group was darkened in the background.
      Correction: maybe not strings, but horns.

    Not so fun fact: The original members have no rights to the band name. There are a group of completely unrelated musicians recording and touring under the Guess Who name. Don't fall for the poor imitations.

      I looked it up. Bassist Jim Kale who owns the rights to the name was in fact an original member of the band - but he acquired the rights to the name 5 years after he left the band after discovering it had never been properly trademarked in Canada. Very strange situation.
