I’ve tried making kimchi fried rice several times with different recipes and it never tasted like the one from restaurants. Tried his recipe and it tasted so good and was simple to make! I substituted anchovy sauce for fish sauce.
He should have his own cooking channel it will be super interesting to watch daily
Yup...it is easier to break the rice if its chilled. Been doing it for the past 30 yrs of making fried rice. An overnight rice kept in the fridge is the best.

I tried this recipe and my mom loves it. She usually doesn't like kimchi fried rice because she finds the taste weird (again since we really don't eat kimchi on a daily basis) but when I try it this is why she actually likes it.

I made the simple fried rice he taught and it was so delicious!! I actually use soy sauce on my friend rice before but now that I used fish sauce ( since i don't have anchovy sauce), it tastes more delicious!!! I love it and my grandma also loved it.

I use fish sauce to cook fried rice too but i prefer savoury taste so i seasoned with salt instead. It's so good. But for me his fried rice looks a bit wet. I usually scrambled the eggs first then i fry the rice, separately

The panfry chicken is the best and easy way.
For me, I commonly use anchovy sauce in fried rice. I even add chili in anchovy sauce and just a little dip it in fried rice.

It tastes great with the right amount. U should tried it.
Start with just a little bit and then adjust to your taste. The sugar balanced out the saltiness of fish sauce and since fermented kimchi is very sour, he added more sugar to balance that out as well. You should try it. The fried rice won't taste sweet (if you don't add too much!!!) and will be very well balanced. My family also add fish sauce to fried rice and not soy sauce. It tasted much more flavorful in my opinion!
in my country, we balance it with sweet soy sauce and lil bit of msg. the sweet soy sauce has thick texture.. but yeah, every asian country has their own fried rice recipe.. different taste, but still delicious.. i really want to try this kimchi fried rice recipe..

I like him n the way he cooks but i think his recipe wouldn't suit my palate. I prefer spicy n savoury. His is too bland (in terms of saltiness and spiciness) and too sweet for me
