My Mini Roulette has just arrived this morning. A couple of things that I have noticed.... firstly it is slightly smaller (including the bags) than portrayed on the accompanying video. Secondly I don't think there is a need for all 4 blocks to have holes in them......like you say you don't want the audience to know that the spike is removable, so why make it obvious that the spike can indeed be placed into either of the blocks. Four round pieces of sticky backed material also comes with the box.....this is apparently to be placed inside the holes to reduce any noise.......my idea is to use them to actually cover the holes of 3 of the blocks and make it look like a 'non scuff base material' and place the 4th one actually on the base of the block i use for my spike. To the audience they will see 4 blocks with felt bases (no holes) and only 1 block with a pre set spike stick out of it.
This has some advantages over the stage version I think. Telling the spec you want them to mix the bags but not know which one it’s in (you mix them behind their back first) covers the meddling with the contents issue I think.
David - when you mentioned negatives, you did not mention that there is one version that has some risk of physical harm. That is a pretty big negative!
21st like and 4th comment. As usual thanks for the video David! See u tomorrow. PS: David Blane hurt is hand with a bigger version of this trick, right?
This is a clever solution, but I don't like danger acts. No matter how drunk or malicious my spectators, and no matter how stupid or forgetful I am, I've never maimed myself with the cups and balls.
Not sure about this one or why it needs to be mini. I think we have all seen the horror shots of magi getting a spike through their hand. There is a foolproof version on the market from Scott Alexander that is very good and very deceiving. This trick gets amazing reaction from the audience but it is definitely not a kids birthday trick or a school show. It is geek magic at its finest.
@@magicorthodoxy I'm pretty sure it happened at one of his Vegas shows if you do a quick search for it comes right up. But definitely good advice about the first routine. You don't want to chance something like this yikes

I immediately thought about stapling the bags, just so no one would look into the bag. Great review, as usual. Thank you!

Amazing Idea with the staples

100% is definitely better.
Thanks for another TCC review David 👍👍
YES !!!
Great tip.
thanks !!!
Great review David, thanks 👍. The bags are obviously smaller than average , since you're smashing them per performance, how many bags come with it?
I think it says on the kickstarter page

one version?
@@magicorthodoxy At the 4 minute mark you state that there is a slight risk version.

I hadn't heard

with the first routine - it's 100% safe and foolproof

the first routine they teach you is 100% safe
Hey David, didn't David Blane just recently mess his hand up doing something like this?
I hadn't heard. But this is 100% safe if you do the 1st routine
@@magicorthodoxy I'm pretty sure it happened at one of his Vegas shows if you do a quick search for it comes right up. But definitely good advice about the first routine. You don't want to chance something like this yikes
I pre-ordered this on Kickstarter! Glad to see you got to kickstarter on time? Did you?
PS.....................First :)
finally !!!
Hey David, Considering that Banachek impaled his hand once, I'm out.
like I said: the 1st routine is 100% safe
