What amazing developments in the last few years. Nothing like this when I built my Airfix Ferguson tractor in 1951...!!! Cockpits? That was when the upper torso and head of the pilot was moulded in with the fuselage halves...
Red Fox stuff is brilliant. Thanks for the shout out lol. If one of the upcoming Takom Apache kits is a UK Army version. Then I might have to get one. If I had these sets, I would do them in a powered up state. That moving map etc looks so good. I would have to show it off.
Dude, fantastic photos!! Thx for the update and overview. Was generally curious if they were busy at the Moson(?) show over the weekend and that was why the delay in response. Seems like it was visited by quite a few. Hadn't seen they did a general set for USAAF and Luftwaffe, impressive stuff. Really appreciate the look at your goodies 👍☕🐢
Hey Nigel I ordered my redfox cockpit detail set directly from redfox thanks to you for my takom ah-64d now I’m looking for canapy masking do you know if Eduard or ask have developed the masking for sale yet thanks great video as always
nice review Nigel been looking at these kits from Takom never done a Apache i think it might be time , on another note do you think Red Fox will do the instrument panel for the 1/24 spitfire ix keep up the great work
I think Red Fox stuff looks great. However shipping to Canada (where I live).....not so great. Shipping is $23 euro, about $35 CDN, and it is shipped via DHL which is a courier company which charges stupidly high customs brokerage fees just like UPS or Fedex. If I ordered the same stuff from Hannants it is cheaper on the exchange rate and it is shipped via Royal Mail. Ordered a few times from Hannants and have never been hit with customs fees as it is sent via mail not courier. As long as the value is less than about $200 CDN never been hit with customs fees with mail orders from the UK or US.
I will only work on a major project like that when I feel up to it, right now, with all that's going on with Jess, I am just plodding along.. It is sat her in its rack to my left as I write.. it will not get forgotten.
Thanks Nigel. Believe me, I get it. We had two lovely dogs over a 30-year time span and it’s tough for sure. I am looking forward to its completion - when you’re ready. 👍🕺🇬🇧🇨🇦
Sorry Nige but I don’t rate these products from Red Fox. The details aren’t as refined as Quinta and other manufacturers. Attention to the basics of cockpit details are extremely poor to the point you don’t get any seat harnesses. I’ve checked their website and can’t see any on their sets. Eduard supplies PE harnesses with their 3D decal sets with Quinta and Kits World supplying as standard.
Drooling over this as I watch, Nigel!!! If they produce one for the Skycrane I am in heaven! Well done, brother and keep up the great work! Dane
That is the next one on their list Dane...

Thanks for that Nige. Cracking review. Look a little glossy to me - can they take a dull coat over-sprayed to 'age' them a little?
Just used the Red Fox set on a 1/48 FW Ta183, my first experience of them and I have to say, they are superb.
Very nice indeed. I must check out the rest of their sets.
I bought the cockpit detail kits for the tamiya 1/32 f15e and revell 1/48 sr71 blackbird, not started blackbird yet but f15 looks amazing with it in

ASK have done a few sets for the AH-64, out side only, out and in and out and in with rubber seals.. I reviewed them a couple of weeks back.
Thanks Nigel for getting back to me on this
I've heard some of these are thin enough to back light them with leds

I'm surprised they haven't done one already?
Nice decal sets these are
They're not Decals Wayne.
@@NigelsModellingBench sorry meant a different word im just use to calling them that lol
Good point Wayne.... what are they really called??
So nigel who would you recommend between quinta and redfox as both companies price there sets at or around each other.
Having only seen one Quinta set it's hard to say? I guess it all comes down to price and availability.

As always, very interesting, but…. The Lancaster?

I'm hoping that you do the Apache as a video build mate
