I have gone down the all black rabbit hole and have 5 different projects planned! Discovered that my former dislike of samplers was the alphabets, but I love the borders and motifs! So glad you mentioned Black Sampler November, I might have never known! ☺

Don’t ditch, coffee or tea dye after you finish. Or at least get to your stopping point and try the dyeing then. I prefer using very weak Rit dyes. I watched MommalovesyouGB and followed her video and made a weak dye. It was a smashing success.

Mrs. Campbell, Christian Henry, Cow Sampler, Nativity Sampler, G. Leger, and Ann Ogden are all samplers I would love to stitch. I recently fell and fractured four vertebrae so I'm flat on my back for the next four months. My father previously made me a frame so I could cross stitch laying down because I've had six back surgeries. So this is something I can definitely do so I don't go stir crazy. Most especially the Cow, because they've been my favorite animal since I was a very small child growing up across the road from a weaning pen for the baby cows. My day us always brighter when your video pops up. Thank you. On your Ann Grimshaw Sampler fabric problem could be antiqued after you finish the stitch. Kimberly Jolly from the Fat Quarter Shop recently had a stitch that was coming out to bright and she didn't like the fabric. After she was done stitching she sprayed it with the Antique Walnut spray. This would give you a more grungy look.
I would love the G. Leger, the Nativity Sampler, Mrs. Campbell Sampler. Love all your WIPS! Maybe coffee dye the one sampler and then bake in the oven and it will give it a crisp look 🙂

I love all the samplers that you are working on..I like the idea of only stitching parts of the sampler ..I am stitching Anne Thomas and I was unhappy with the coverage with one thread so I switched to 2..but it’s slow going because of all the color changes!! You were right about that for sure but it is gorgeous

I love all the samplers that you are working on..I like the idea of only stitching parts of the sampler ..I am stitching Anne Thomas and I was unhappy with the coverage with one thread so I switched to 2..but it’s slow going because of all the color changes!! You were right about that for sure but it is gorgeous
