  • I've gotten several comments on my assembly/review video for my Ryobi 18v string trimmer ( • How to assemble the Ry... ) about the fact that the guard assemble portion was out of frame. So in this video I'm giving you the assembly details for the guard portion only! Check out the other video above for the complete assembly and testing of this trimmer. Thanks for watching!

Thanks so much for adding this to your original. My new trimmer is supposed to come tomorrow and your videos are the best that I've seen for assembly. Also, you don't add any fluff to your videos saving us all a lot of time. Great job on this!

Hi! I don’t know if I missed something in the first video, but I didn’t see it in the second video either and that was how to attach the piece with the blade to the trimmer.🤦🏼‍♀️

I just purchased this model of weed eater/trimmer and used it for the 1st time today. A few times the trimmer wouldn't restart after I had released the handle. Only after I changed the speed switch a few times, then I could get the trimmer to restart. Did you experience this happening? If so, why did it happen and/or what can I do differently to avoid this.

Mine doesn't have a speed switch, so I'm not sure why that would be happening. I've never had that issue. When you say it won't restart, you pull the trigger and nothing happens at all?

@@typicalthrillThere is a speed switch at the top of the handle. High and low speed.

HOW LONG DOS A 4HR BATTERY LAST? 2HR BATTERY WORK TIME?

I've noticed the time can change depending on how much of a load you're putting on the trimmer. If you're cutting a lot of very dense grass it won't last as long as just trimming edges. It usually takes me about an hour to trim my property and a 4hr batter usually lasts the whole time.
