- A Run-Through Of How To Remove The Front Door Card On A Volkswagen Transporter T6, Caravelle & California.
We take these door cards off an awful lot so it's second nature to us but we looked on RUclips and there was no guide for people to follow. We've taken it at a slow pace so you can stop / start where you need to so you can catch up.
This process is suitable for most VW Transporter T6s, Caravelles & Californias.

Tip: remove the electric-mirror button module first by pulling it upwards from its front edge, which then allows you to weave it through its hole and ultimately remove the door card on your own.

Is the sliding door card a similar procedure ?
Do you have to remove the metal plate to replace the bowden release cable?

Yes! Some of our newer videos show part of the process of removing the metal panelling but you have to be carful as the window will need to be held up by tape. Please see video link below:
