I was pretty hesitant when it came to exploring this abandoned mine especially when every mine report on this location said it had bad air. Will curiosity kill the cat or will I make some amazing discoveries?

    Abandoned & Forgotten Places
Documenting abandoned mines like never before!
Let's take abandoned mine exploring to the next level!
With your support you can help make this the best abandoned mine exploring channel on RUclips!
Shot entirely in 4K! ...so, turn up those video settings!
On this channel we go deep... REALLY DEEP into abandoned mines and tunnels all throughout the western United States. We researched some of the harder to find mines and hiked or 4x4 back into them to explore and reveal their hidden secrets. Many of these remote locations are filled with cool artifacts, antiques and unique geology that will have you guessing as to why the old prospectors worked so hard to find gold, silver, and other minerals.
A&FP moves just a bit slower as compared to other mine exploring channels. Gly discusses why the miners chose these sites and he points out the geology and minerals that got them excited. Veins of quartz filled with gold and silver made many men lose sleep in the 1800’s and early 1900’s and modern prospecting still does to this very day.
DANGERS? Oh yes, there’s allot of dangers associated with old mines. Un-exploded dynamite, blasting caps, bad air, bats, spiders, and snakes all find their home in abandoned mine shafts and tunnels. Oh, and let’s not forget rotting timbers, flooded passages and collapsing rock!
Gly takes abandoned mine exploring seriously with all the proper safety equipment, training, and experience necessary to do this activity as safe as possible but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a bit of fun along the way. “Gly”, your host and his band of crazy characters “Old Bob” (Gly’s Jeep), “Quackers” (Gly’s duck) and “Bobbie” (Gly’s hula girl) are sure to brighten your day with their comments and silly antics. Heck, they may even give you a chuckle or two.
Just like Saturday morning cartoons before the internet was invented, Abandoned and Forgotten Places uploads each Saturday at 7:00AM PST. (that’s 10:00AM for you eastern folks) so don’t forget to click that subscribe button and bell icon to receive notifications of new episodes!
Please LIKE, SHARE, SUBSCRIBE and COMMENT! All these things help grow our channel and your financial support helps us find new locations and helps put fuel into “Old Bobs” tank. Old Bob, thanks you!
Ok, now for the ugly stuff...
    WARNING
Abandoned mines and ruined structures have many hazards and can severely injure or even kill you. Do not attempt to copy or re-enact situations or scenarios seen in this video. Stay Out and Stay Alive: • Gly Says... STAY OUT S...

      2 questions.
First question: where on earth is BC?
Second question: would it be correct to assume a frozen mine is more dangerous than one that isn't frozen?
I've honestly never even heard of a frozen mine.
I know mine water is generally cold, but yikes.

From the beautiful opening to the waterfall and the prolific signage, the poured concrete floors in the buildings and the concrete in the mine, you have found a great, interesting site.
I'm now anxious for the next followup video. It bothers me that people can't simply visit a place, take only pictures and leave only footprints. Pulling walls apart, breaking nearly anything they can find, truly reveals the lack of respect for the history of the operation. And it spoils the place for those who visit later. Thank you for making the trek and recording it.

In the "workshop" building, I suspect the tool base was for a crane to lift cars on and off the tracks. Being located at the end of the tracks inside the build makes it easy to put a cart anywhere in the shop you want, and just as easy to put it back on the tracks.

I like the background music during the "thumbnail", the way it diminishes as you "roll" to the portel. Quite the mountainous ridges in that area!! An "eyefull" for us mid-westerners. Water/sm. creek draws wildlife (for drinking), therefore snakes come for the sm. animals. (or is elevation too high?) At 29:57, cool flow stone. The mine is so deep into the mt. ridge that there are "cave scours" from water movement. We know that you walked it all, but thanks for the sped up parts. ALOT of Sulfide on the walls as you walk to the waterfall. Quite a ladder at 37:30!! (nope, not today, this ones not for Gly)ha,ha. As the credits scroll, the ridge above the camp looks like Limestone, so thats why there are cave features within the adet. It makes me nervous to watch searches/explores of mines with water in them. (Can't get over those that "HAVE NO FEAR".) This "explore" was a great find and a super film! Thanks again.

when i saw the twinkies, i was sure i had seen this mine before on youtube and why remember, because Shango used to put twinkies inside the mines he visited and if i remember correctly i was before he split his main channel off, with a seperate mining channel like yours and when i saw the waterfall i was sure, the only difference with the waterfall, when he visited it, their was no rope attached to the ladder and looking forward to part 2 of this mine

Awesome drone shots and that mine is dark, just eats up the lights. The colors are so impressive. The waterfall is cool coming from the snow melt from those gorgeous mountains. Wow what a mine. And a reminder folks don't kick Gly's bucket, it might fight back.

Nice cold mine in the hot state of Nevada, the wood rot is highly reminiscent of Canadian mines, any timber works usually rot away because of the extreme temperature changes and high moisture levels. A wet mine always rots wood. Kind of an unusual mine for Nevada, must be in the northern part of the state. Loved the intro and the way you used the music to influence the imagery, once again, well done Gly!!! Can't wait for the next episode!

I really like this episode. Be honest I've gotten board of the same type of mines you explore are all the same. Interesting to see a wet mine and timbers. Color of the blue was more amazing when it was wet.

Wow Gly, that intro gave me goose bumps, I can see why you gave it that music with a backdrop like that. This is the wettest mine I've seen you explore yet, other than one's that are flooded.
