Dredd [Fan Trailer | Jerry Goldsmith]

After the dreadful (pun intended) mess that was 1995's Judge Dredd, this low budget version of 2000AD's comic book anti-hero successfully captures the tone and violent action.
I remembered looking forward to Judge Dredd back in the early 90s even though I had little knowledge of the source material. But it was clear to see why when looking at its original teaser trailer. Composer Jerry Goldsmith had been lined up to compose the score (which would have been amazing) but due to other commitments had to pull out. He left the project with a frankly brilliant action-packed theme.
Using this trailer music as my base, I re-imagined the new Dredd fitting into the powerhouse music and edited this 2-part trailer.
The first half contains a small introduction to the situation in the film while the second explodes with Goldsmith's theme.
If you haven't seen the film yet, grab yourself a copy and check it out! But remember, it is a reduced, streamlined low-budget affair rather than the bloated turkey that is 95's Judge Dredd.
