I wouldn't mind just leaving it in your comments if you'd read it. either way I just really need some insight right now.

Yes you can ❤️ Nathan also mentioned in his online program, that for some people, recovery is when their intrusive thoughts and urges to do compulsions simply stop occuring because of the treatment 🫶🏼 others feel like their recovery is when they can manage their intrusive thoughts and urges to do compulsions - but they occur very rarely 💫 hope this helps. Don’t lose hope, anxiety is not chronic 🌷

I have an idea for an intermediate exposure on the way back to driving: try driving with a driving instructor. Usually, they have their own break that they could push at any time. You could take lessons with them until your anxiety goes down enough that you feel ready to drive without that safety net.
I get those thoughts frequently, by the way, but I haven't let it stop me from driving even once. It's just part of the OCD, and not the part I'm most concerned about.

Oh wow... I cried quite a bit while listening to your sample letter - everything was so relatable.
When I think about the ways that OCD has been a dreadful partner over the past 15+ years (alongside some moments of obsessive greatness, perhaps), it makes the decision to break up much clearer. I don't think I can improve on your words, so I may take and use it for myself. (without distributing, of course) Thank you so much. This was a very helpful angle to approach this alongside of my current ERP treatment.
Keep up the amazing videos, Nathan. Sure appreciate you!

Hey, Nathan, these are some beautiful words that bring awareness to the desire for healing from our intrusive, obsessive thoughts and accompanying compulsions. On a side note, how would you go about OCD related to weight loss and exercise? I know ERP is the most useful tool, but I think the issue itself is related to body dysphoria.

I have been struggling with Contamination OCD For 2 years and have been clinically diagnosed
However just recently i developed symptoms of pocd
    My OCD Letter
OCD I appreciate all the times we spent togeather. We have been throughout these two years togeather. However your standards have become too demanding like an ex relationship with a toxic girlfriend
I know that this is not easy for the both of us
    You want to control me
And i also wanna have some control
I thought i genuinely needed you and i thought i was the problem
    But it was you
This is why we need to go our seperate ways
Sure it will hurt a lot and it will probably be difficult to let go
But i can't take the lies and the empty demands from you.
It is ruining my quality of life
So thank you for the warnings that you gave me
You basically just showed that i am a very hygienic person and that i care about children
However you turned those into obsessions out of fear
Which is why we need to split apart.
    ❤️
