Lots of things to like for a rookie tackle, he got his hands on first a good amount, and his hand placement tech is pretty good. Really just needs to work on his base. He plays pretty high and stiff, which allowed Thibodeaux to bend around him or swim over top too often. This also gives defenders a massive target to get their hands into his chest on bull rush, which were not very good reps for him. There is definitely a lot of good tools here just needs to play with a much lower and more solid base in my opinion.
Who do you think won this matchup?
@TheNFLFilmRoom Guyton won base on video, my grade for Guyton B-
Pretty 50 50 imo but Guyton probably slightly

@@MaxLong-t1o I heard he was holding too much?
@@jesusm2159 yeah, you can kind of see it in some of the reps here, when he is beat, especially on the inside he definitely gets quite grabby
@@MaxLong-t1o is Guyton improving?
I’m a Cowboys fan and clearly Tyler got his butt kicked. I was never about this pic.
Thibs won. Anyone saying differently is biased, pretty clear he won
Overall grade for Guyton?
@@jesusm2159 50.4 OVR, 58.2 RBLK, 33.0 PBLK
@TheNFLFilmRoom so is that good grade, your grade, I think he held his own
@@jesusm2159 That’s from PFF. Not sure what id grade the game.
@@TheNFLFilmRoomdid you see the reel of them praising his blocking? Full of holding and facemask tugs. Refs handed the cowboys the game
Thibodaux was being held all night and they even put together a clip of about six times that it happened and no flag
