  • Is Siesta Key Real Estate still a good investment? In this video I discuss regrets buyer and sellers have faced when it comes to purchasing and selling Siesta Key real estate in Florida on this barrier island. As Florida Real Estate has become so expensive, I discuss what is still possible for Siesta Key real estate to purchase Siesta Key real estate for under 1 Million Dollars on Siesta Key beach in Florida.

Only going to get more valuable !!! Buy now if you can. Yes the crowds are getting worse but you learn to live around it. We bought on the only private beach and it’s amazing . We go on the weekends, bring all the food we need and stay put and enjoy amazing beach living. It’s the Caribbean without the hassles of living there…. I’ve done both so I know. Siesta Key is a treasure and they aren’t creating any more beach front property. Keep on preaching the negatives Troy. It will keep the Key for those who truly love it and know it’s value. PS… enjoy your videos Fun K!!

Wow, this video about Siesta Key Real Estate really struck a chord with me. As a realtor, I've seen the beauty and appeal of this Florida island firsthand. It's disheartening to hear about potential regrets when it comes to real estate decisions, especially in such a stunning location. It reminds us of the importance of thorough research, working with a knowledgeable realtor, and understanding our long-term goals before making any major investments. Thank you for sharing these insights and shedding light on the complexities of the real estate market. 🌴🔑

Siesta Key is heavenly, soft silky sand, teal crystal water you can see right through.

You are right - I graduated in 1986, missed the switch before my 18th birthday, which means my older friends could legally drink and I could not until I was 21.

I prefer to live a mile or two from the beach. I don't use the beach every day and don't want to deal with the traffic.

Troy, my parents have had a condo in St. Pete, and it is a second home to myself and children all my life. We are starting to look for a Florida condo ourselves, and we spent time in Ft. Myers / Naples area a couple of years ago too. At your suggestion, we just drove into Sarasota and Siesta Key last week, and I was blown away. The area is much larger and wealthier than I anticipated without any seedy areas. Better yet, its a very lively downtown/St. Armand rivaling St. Pete. The only negative comparatively is the difficulty parking for beach access vs St. Pete which has an enormously long beach and a ton of parking. Anyway, you created a dilemma for me and my wife,

Call me if I can help - I go the the beach very early and don’t have a problem with parking.

I graduated RHS in 77 and was a busboy at the Summerhouse around 76-77; I believe Gov Gregg from Rhode Island owned it. My family's real estate company started with the development of the Mangroves subdivision across from Pt of Rocks Rd in 72. My brother in law built Tortuga condo near Turtle Beach when he lived in a penthouse at the Terrace. I grew up on that beach as we had a home on Whitehall Place for 45 yrs.

I actually wanted to get the ladies more involved in the video, yet they were dancing to music and when RUclips hears music on my video, they often flag it for copywriter violations ... so I had to keep a distance, yet hoped you could still see them having fun.

What an awesome story of how you started.
You were in the right place at the right time.
Santa Barbara would have treated you well if you had stayed as well.
    Congratulations on all your accomplishments.
    Blessings, Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊❗️

Along the lines of 6 degrees of separation, we have a couple things in common. At the age of 17 spent two delightful weeks with a girl friend at her parents beach house on the sand of Siesta key. They had a Hobie cat which we kept pulled up on the private beach. Today am living in Santa Barbara.

Good story, but whenever sales person applies pressure like that, I walk away.
Never make a big decision like that in haste. In this case it worked out, but I've seen a lot times where this sort of thing really went sideways for people.

Just avoid the public beach with lifeguard stands. Tons of access points that are way more laid back than the main part.

I'm glad that sale worked out for you, but the way you tricked those people into signatures sounds really slimy. I would never do business under those conditions. PS closing on our SK canal property next week, our realtor was wonderful and no pressure.

Red tide? Rising Condo fees? Traffic?? No, I’ll just vacay there a few times a year, but would never buy on SKB. Also, I feel like they key is sinking every time it rains.

If you buy a property to vacation now, you will be way overpaying. 2024 insurance is going to triple this your HOA. The best beach in Florida, comment from a California guy. You figure.

Sadly, FL is going to shit...all the backward thinkers, conservative laws, taking away people's rights to be who they are...telling women what they can do with their bodies, homeowners insurance is beyond affordable, heat and humidity in the summer months is overwhelming. Yes, the beaches are nice and the weather is nice in the other seasons. But, that's it.
