    Bro you're incredibly good at teaching. Thank you so much for this awesome video series, I am on my second watch through now but definitely one of my favorite educators for WordPress.

    Genius! But even more genius about the way you teach these - you're so easy to follow and it's great that you explain one function in each video is keeps it implementable. Thank you for taking the time.

    Currently, I’m using bricks for my clients. But generate blocks based upon the class system that is now being employed is extremely tempting!

      Bricks is still ahead in most feature sets - but if you don't need a bunch of bells and whistles, it's becoming a great option!

    Wow! That is why I love Gutenberg add-ons instead of page builders.

    I love the changes with Generate Press. I purchased Kadence, but even with the changes that Kadence has I find it hard to move from Generate Press. I just prefer Generate Press to be honest. Simplicity it sometimes better, which is how I categorize Generate Press. Like that there are not so many Blocks and I get to decide what I want. Now with classes it just rocks.

      Kadence is great - and I think it comes down to preference and building style. I rather just have the simple building blocks and make what I need.

    Is there a date for the live release of GB 1.9 and GB Pro 1.7?

      No, but hopefully sometime in April.

    Hi Kyle, thanks for such an awesome video. I'm new to GenerateBlocks and so am learning the best practices for setting up my workflows. I had started creating patterns and saving them to the GB 'Local Patterns' area for my colleagues to use, but I notice near the end of the video you say 'Generate Blocks 'Old' local patterns' and that of course you are using the WP core patterns throughout your video here - so I wanted to ask, is using Local Patterns incorrect? And what are the benefits of using WP core patterns over the GB local patterns? Many thanks in advance

    • @TheAdminBar
      @TheAdminBar  7 месяцев назад +2

      In GB 1.9 (& Pro 1.7) the GenerateBlocks "Local Patterns" are being replaced with WP core patterns. There was really no benefit to GB having a proprietary system.

      @@TheAdminBarso will the 'Pattern Library' block that appears in my available blocks be disappearing in GB Pro 1.7, is that what you are saying as well?

    Is there any way to set the outer container (section) html tag to in the class and have that carry over when inserting the pattern elsewhere?

    • @TheAdminBar
      @TheAdminBar  8 месяцев назад +1

      No, classes don't control the HTML tags... but if you set the container as a section and save the pattern, when you insert the pattern it will be a section still :)
