7:01 exactly what I was looking for. Just making sure splash energy brings back the whole evolution line and not just top. Great to know for a singleton format
I really love GLC so I am very happy that you're putting it onto the spotlight. Water is definitely the type with the highest amount of build options, next to psychic. My favorite way to play water right now is the "free water" deck that plays 0 energys and just focuses on cramorant and the castforms as attackers.
oh bulky stage 1's is definitely the better and more wellrounded build no doubt. I mostly play the cram version since its quite unique and the new TM's really gave that type of deck a lot of new options@@OmniPoke
I really wished in Europe people started taking this format more seriously. It brings so much fun to a game that becomes really stale when it becomes more competitive. So much love and support to GLC
13:02 Also worth noting that the VIV Wailord is also really overstatted, and is can better in rain dance builds since it has no damage cap and the attack can't be copied by something like Zoroark's Foul Play.
Could you add a Rapid Strike water deck? I was really hoping with the Starmie and Intellion you were going to focus on a Rapid Strike build. Sobble can bring out Remoraid, Staryu, Shellder, and Lapras from the deck with its call for family. Then you can utilize other Rapid Strike cards like Tower of Waters, Rapid Strike energy, Korrina's Focus, etc. I don't have a list, but I am currently working on this version of water. Thanks!
Also anyone looking at this interested in playing wailord/cetitan trickygym has a vitality spring blastoise deck with the two of them on a video somewhere. I’d also strongly recommend vulpix over basculin as though its slower and worse against hand disruption it is so much better after t1. Finally play hex & parallel city to turn winning positions into won games :)
Vitality spring is a real trap imo when water already has broken acceleration Parallel and hex are busted when timed well ofc but ultimately if I’m playing the most overstatted pokes I just wanna setup as often as poss and let them carry!
@@OmniPoke valid - i dont play it myself… but i think only playing moth acceleration is such a target on its back - i play both moth/bax in my big deluge
Great video, Joe! How do you feel about the Special Wave vs. Hydro Pump Wailord in Rain Dance decks? I know Mahone still prefers the latter in traditional builds, but I think with the inclusion of Cetitan now, it’s more beneficial to build around both since you’re basically doubling up on the attack. You think the Hydro variant still has a place?
Ugh, also I wanna include the RS Starmie in the deck too! Too many build arounds!! You can see why I’m stuck on my water build now, lol. I also wanna include both the Blastoise and Baxcalibur lines because I love them both so much

@@JOMNIplays yes you recover the full line!

I find it hard to look past the bulky stage 1s but tempo cram and castform is a cool option

Really happy to see some glc content on this channel. Thank you
Thanks for this serie Joe. Helps getting into GLC with upgraded infos.
Love the GLC content!
Love these videos thank you for putting the time into making these GLC guides I know it probably is very time consuming🫶 happy holidays Joe and Jack
Thanks so much! Happy hols
GLC FTW!!!
I'm surprised you haven't mentioned Articuno + Blindside as a potential finisher in a spread deck. It's an easy 2 prizes
Im just getting into glc and i appreciate these videos and im excited for your lightning video
Love these guide videos for GLC, could you please do one for Steel?
On the generic staples graphic maybe replace ffury or helmet with float stone/ uturn board as they are so important in glc rn
Float is in the switching category 😅
@@OmniPoke haha no worries then im blind

name in one copy?
Isn't Iron Bundle better than Phione?
Bundle can attack but is less easily reusable
When fairy guide?
Fairy guide: don’t play fairy
Plan on doing every type eventually, but fairy is uh…struggling
So I have blastoise from pokemon GO. Is that acceptable in this format?
@@redleader-qm2od having to end your turn is a pretty big sacrifice compared to the other amazing acceleration options water has access to
