#6 is not a joke, however it is a common misnomer. Female seahorses deposit eggs into a sac on the male seahorses body. The eggs then hatch from there. So...the male seahorse is not really “giving birth”.

The zygote has not been birthed yet, as it still has to go through a gestation period to develop into a baby seahorse. This process happens within the male seahorse. After a few weeks the male goes through contractions and expels the babies into the water.
