Good video Sergey. My father shared a band room twice with John. He liked him. He used to borrow ciggys. Lend me a smoke Jack. You don't become a musician to have a predictable life.

Thanks Sergey. John was a character. He should have had protection. Bumped into Yoko in Harrods. She had security.

Thanks for doing this. I will never go there as it would be too painful to see where he was shot and died. That was a sad day full of pain and sorrow and I cried all day. I knew the world had lost a musical genius and it was so senseless.
I don’t like that building. It looks dark and sinister to me.
They should release the killer so that Beatles fans can catch up with him. That would be Justice!
The music will live on forever!

@ImixSpb... When I was 15 I made my mother buy me a "Beatles Jacket." If you've seen any of their early performances, they wore black collarless jackets, I had to have one LOL

George Fisher - Yes, I've seen their early performances on video only. The Beatles have never been to Russia )) It wasn't a total loss, though. I was at the Paul McCartney concert in St. Petersburg, 2004

Very well done serge entertaining. Never forget that afternoon in Sydney Australia I was 14 at my good friends house, news flash then the news. Cut to 17 years later I visited mendips in Liverpool stayed for a week everyday visit historic places there, the first day there I'm not ashamed to tell you I had tears run down my face the music means so much and many books I've read. Great vlog man!

oh Sergey, this was such a touching video. I'll NEVER forget that night. I was 14 and when we heard the news it was very late of course and cold (I live in Central NY). We were out in the street crying our eyes out. NOBODY slept that night. The next day at school we had a memorial for him and couldn't carry on with classes. Even the Teachers were so distraught, I'll never forget. For us it was like when President Kennedy was killed. We felt such a huge loss. But John Lennon also gives us such great memories and for them we'll NEVER forget... never forget... Strawberry Fields for..ev..er. xoxo

Great work on this video, Sergey! It brought back many memories of the impact the Beatles had on my life. One of the first albums I bought was Magical Mystery Tour...the rest was history. I didn't miss an album. I even liked the experimental stuff that John Lennon and Yoko Ono did as well as George Harrison. McCartney means a lot to me as well. I'm happy to say that I finally got to see him in concert a couple of years back. (And let's not forget Ringo who continues to play and spread the word of peace).
Your video also brought back the memories I had of that terrible day when Lennon was taken from us. I guess they always say you remember exactly where you were on days like that...I was working on my college newspaper putting together the next issue with my friends...radio blaring with the hits both classic and new......All of us happy and working late into the night when one of the guys told us to all be quiet and when the din died down the radio announcer said that John Lennon had been shot and had died. After hearing that news the rest of the night was quiet....We still worked on the paper, after all we had a deadline to meet, but none of us spoke...to shocked to say anything.
To this day it still affects me. Lennon's love of humanity and work for world peace will never be forgotten. His words will always strengthen us in times of turmoil.
Yoko, of course, continues the good work. I think she is a great woman and a great artist. As I grow older I become more appreciative of her work. It's also good to see John's sons Sean and Julian still working in music and art.
Thanks for this video, Sergey! I know I pretty much say this on every comment but I really love this direction you've taken. Keep up the great work!!! Do more!!!!

Another good video. I saw the Beatles for a birthday present when they were in Washington, DC in 1966. There was a lot of screaming (of course), so it was hard to hear the music, but I was still happy to be there.

I was about 12 years old when the Beatles was on the Ed Sullivan Show. I did not care for the first couple of albums they had released, but when I heard the White Album is when I started to like their music. I bought it and Abby Road and every album they made in the time period. My daughter used to play their music and loved it also along with the movies they made.

*Yoko Ono's summer home is near Bainbridge New York about 180 miles from NYC. Yoko is now a tiny old lady; Sometimes she's out in the town shopping with her driver; she doesn't talk much but her driver is a nice funny guy who speaks some English and can carry on a conversation. It's a very small town and there is nothing special there.* Also, the giraffe named April who just gave birth, the very big RUclipsr, 4.3 meters tall at Animal Adventure Park is near that area.
