My 1996 Surf Hilux 3RZ FE has a small misfire and runs rich at cylinders 2 and 4, has a hard start too but runs smooth when at temperature. mild smoke at morning start ups which clears at temperature. New plugs are normally covered in carbon after a few days. Now I suspect injectors could be the problem too!
I just wanted to make a comment i have the same truck my injectors were sticking also i was replacing 02sencers like once a year thay would have black soot on them not gray color throwing code for them the tell pipe was also black soot bad i used lacquer thinner 1gallon to 9gallons of gas i ran it out in 3 hours i notice big improvement in the first 10mins of running stop n go traffic took to long i got up on the interstate 65 mph truck drove nice 🙋an im sure it cleaned the cat also it did not hert my motor i did this 4 years a go i still have this truck an it still runs like a top no more black soot on top tell pipe 🙋👍i also wanted to clean the intake out it was nasty black in side of it I pulled it off an cleaned it with oven cleaner in the can washed it out with water let dried installed no more 02 going bad miles on it 189.000 to this day my truck drives like new🙋. The corn gas with 10% makes them injectors stick open when they need to close shut ... If people do this trick run it out same day fill back up. An yes i work in a shop take care friend 🙋2000TRD2.7 the auto parts store sells injector cleaner in my eyes it crap. I see to many people having problems with the 10%corn gas take care guys 🙋
@@alltsab Maybe I can switch one of the Fuel injectors from the good cylinder and see what happens. I think my coil packs are good they were tested by someone else who said they were. Or maybe just buy one Injector and see what happens.

So is it NOT true that these 2.7 engines have no problems with regular unleaded gas?

Have you uploaded a valve adjustment procedure for the 2.7 ?
No I don't have a video adjust valves for toyota. Normally toyota have hydraulic lifter no need to adjust the valves.

Have a miss fire on P0301 and P0302. Having two next to each other scares me
Misfires sometimes not an easy fix. Wish you just a coil pack.
