My hubby & I just watched this together. We love to cook & he loves trying new recipes. This is a keeper and on our list to try. We loved your presentation!😊
No worries with taking short cuts every now and then, as everyone should! And we've found at least a couple of good store-bought pestos in our area, so we completely get it. Great recipe and now I'm gonna try it. Cheers!
We appreciate the latitude :). Thanks for the great compliment, excited to hear that you plan to make it, let us know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!
Chicken Kiev is a great dish, maybe we'll do a recipe on it one of these days. This one is different, and you are correct, for a few reasons this one is next level. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great compliment. Not looking at the release schedule, I'm betting there will be a Super Bowl worthy recipe or two. Thanks for watching!
The big advantage of orzo over rice is having to not stir for a similar effect to what rice risotto usually looks like. Looking at the end result I also dont see a difference in texture from just putting the liquid in all at once.
From the Chef, I stayed true to the classic risotto method, including the ingredients and the method. We appreciate the tip and will give it a test drive one of these first days. Thanks for watching!
dehydrated mushrooms? argh.... they taste like poison. I have no idea why people continue to use these gross things when you can use amazing fresh mushrooms
Don't discount dried mushrooms, both have some compelling qualities. Beyond availability, cooks choose fresh vs. dried mushrooms based on the dish they are creating. Here is a good article on the subject - www.lacademie.com/dried-vs-fresh-mushrooms/. Thanks for watching!

Great looking recipe! Did you film with a different filter? or time of day? or different lighting? Yes lighting
I'm going with lighting. The video dude is in the lab processing and scanning F-I-L-M :). Thanks for watching!
Love your videos Chef. I would like to see you make a short rib or lamb Birria Tacos with a dipping sauce. Thanks.

Chef, will the orzo be enough to plate all four pieces? getting ready to make this next weekend
4 modest portions. Tom says ... "make extra." Thanks for watching!
Wow, thank you Chef Tom this looks like a definite winner for the family but maybe on a bed of penne alfredo to save on some time.
That sounds exceptional. Thanks for watching!!
Def gonna try this one.
...was this video color graded by someone different? it seems flatter than previous videos...
Let us know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!
I agree. I think someone doubled up the grade because it has too much contrast on my end. From what I could see it looks great!
Wow…
I promise, WOW is an appropriate reaction. Make it at home and let us know how it turns out. New videos every Tuesday and Friday, hope you'll join us.
BRUH!!! 'nough said I'll be making this.
Indeed. This one was amazing! Thanks for watching.
What other mushrooms would you use as a substitute for the Morrell mushrooms?
Great question! Oyster or shiitake. Thanks for watching!
What brand is the burner you use?

I’m thinking it might be nice to put a slice of prosciutto inside with the pesto and cheese.
You cannot go wrong with prosciutto. Thanks for watching!
2 thumbs up
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!
Literally eating pesto chicken while watching this…
What are the chances?! Thanks for watching.
Put a glove over your shakers, so you don’t contaminate.
Good tip. Thanks for watching!
Woulda added some smoked mushroom, onion, and bacon in the middle coupled with that cheese.... lol but that's just cuz I'm a fat boy 🤣
Sounds great to us. Thanks for watching!

@@allthingsbbq really cool article. Yeah I found the taste to be overwhelming whenever I had them but maybe I’ll try again more open minded.
The filter on the video is a little much. Love the recipe, though!
