Peach yogurt is truly the best, and honestly, so is taking breaks from reading when we need it. I took a ten-day hiatus from audiobooks this month, and it was exactly what I needed. I suspect the next break will be longer.
I feel you on the “sometimes I want to do something else” thing. I go through phases with reading where sometimes I wanna read 98% of the time and other times I wanna watch 2 movies a night!
I'm on a journey to increase my protein and fiber. Just bought hemp hearts and they are pretty good to add to random dishes for more protein. Chickpeas are also pretty high in both if you like them. I just bought some dry to try making them to avoid all the salt in canned
I’m one of those who reads like 400 a year, BUT most of those are audio books I listen to at 2x speed at my boring a** job, driving, chores, and my other hobbies that require less brain power. And of the other half I would say a majority are manga or graphic novels.
I enjoy your Booktube videos but I've recently found your vlogs and I find them so relaxing. I'm not sure what it is but I can put them on and be in a good mood.
Loved the weekly vlog! I don’t like those oikos yogurts either, I think they taste like artificial sweetener. I prefer plain Greek yogurt with honey to sweeten it and some fruit, granola, dark chocolate - it definitely needs toppings to help with the texture problem haha. I also can relate to the unexplainable rage in traffic! 😖
I don't like Greek yogurt, so I've switched to Icelandic yogurt! The taste is much better in my opinion, though I suppose the texture is similar so it might not be an improvement for you. The smoothies/drinkable yogurts seem like a great solution though!
I know it's not the same calories to protein ratio, but full fat yogurt is actually good. Fat free yogurt also makes me gag even though it's "fine" flavor wise. If you don't like that, maybe yogurt isn't your protein solution.
For yogurt. Theres a drink you might want to try. Im not sure what its called, but its yogurt mixed with sparkling water and mint. It gets rid of the texture.
