Retired and seen many state and federal parks but this is one of the most beautiful in the nation. Great Video with a good soundtrack that doesn't distract from enjoying it.
I grew up going to this park lived a short distance from it. This is a place very special to me. I miss it’s beauty, and the peace I felt when I was there, I do have wonderful memories. I hope I can see it one more time
It is wonderful video with music. I was there 4 years ago in October. It was really beautiful with fall foliage. I traveled with friends stayed one night. I want to go there again. I drove from Toronto, Canada.
bonnie macLeod it's an incredible view from up there! the old bridge is being made into a legal walkway, so you will be able to experience that safely in the future!
I think you're right! Maybe I heard someone saying that they wish it would become a walkway - I'm not sure. But here's the newspaper article www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/2015/10/29/work-starts-new-letchworth-bridge/74797330/
Jones Drones yes I think it is getting torn down, too many complaints about the running costs, I saw a train cross it while I was under the bridge on the road.... let me say that all the movement in the structure, mostly the cross ties in the box truss did not inspire confidence......lol but still logically if they quit driving millions of pounds of train over it then the running costs would drop a lot. I do wish it be comes a walkway I'm sure that old bridge can handle that
I've always wondered how deep the holes are underneath the Upper and Middle Falls. The depth of the water underneath the Lower Falls Bridge has to be really deep... I still can't believe I was down there during the Flood of 1972 when the river was right up to the bottom of the Lower Falls Bridge. Awesome.
wow amazing place to die, and leave youre soul there. its magical. i love it. its beautiful. lucky people who leave nearby and can just go anytime they wish. wow wow wow!!! great video dude. the best of seen.
Jones, this is such remarkable area to shoot.. OMG.. You have no problem here with park ranger? Next year I will be here.. Thanks for sharing.. You got a new subscriber :)
I did not get permission to do this flight - this was before I was licensed, and I took a risk doing the flight. You certainly can get permits to fly, but I'm not sure what the process is like.
Somebody told me drones were illegal in the park . I don't see why . But I did see the police come through our job site with a dog looking for the owner of a drone .
No kidding! I've searched all over the web for drone regulations in Letchworth and there's absolutely no documentation. I'd happily oblige if they made the rules clear.
Jones Drones drones are not illegal in state parks as long as you have a permit. And getting a permit requires insurance for the drone. Just google UAS flying in New York State parks! I had a ranger stop me in Seneca state park in Geneva! Make sure you have your permit with you!
David Wheeler David, drones are not illegal in state parks, but you do need a permit to fly in ANY state park in New York. And getting a permit means you need to show documentation that you have insurance on the drone. The permit also means that if your drone causes any sort of damage to the park, they are holding you responsible for any damages incurred! I found this out recently when a ranger stopped me when I was flying in Seneca lake state park last week!
That is really good to know. Thank you for sharing. I'm getting ready to get my commercial license and I'd imagine that sort of information will be in the study material and on the test.
Jones Drones it’s a FAA law for ALL state parks. And it’s pretty clear... you cannot take off or land in a state park and you cannot fly less then 500 feet over the state park, since UAVs cannot go over 400... the rule is pretty clear. You need state and FAA approval to fly in any state park... I’ve tried and chances are if you’re flying anywhere near people you will get denied...🙄

Just came back from a weekend in New York. The views at Letchworth are breathtaking. Thanks for sharing!
It is wonderful video with music.

I want to go there again.
I drove from Toronto, Canada.
After seeing the car driving by on the road and how deep the gorge is . It really sets it into perspective on the size of the park ,
This video is absolutely beautiful thank you for sharing
You're welcome! I'm so happy you enjoyed it!
I can't believe a bunch of us walked across that railroad trestle in the pitch dark many years ago, we were CRAZY! And real lucky no one fell off!!!

Jones Drones it is???? I thought it was being torn down

I walked across the trestle and got off the track just before a train engineer blew the whistle.

That's a good question! I've wondered that too. Must be pretty deep with all that continuous flowing water. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing this video. Great work keep it up !

Absolutely beautifu!! Thanks for this.
I only live 5 mins away, but it still feels like a different country!!
PM For PandaMan yea, kind of same with me too!! It's just beutifull here 🤟🤙
Totally different and insane perspective from a drone. Makes the park look 1000x more beautiful when you explore the unknown with a drone.
That is so beautiful.
Couldn't agree more!!!
Loved it. Amazing work
just so beautiful thanks again

Nice video. Did you have to get permission to fly your drone in the Park.saw you need permits. Curious as I am heading there soon.

How do they feel about flying drones there, I was curious?
1995billy well since it’s a State Park they are technically illegal to fly there... any FAA certified pilot would know that.
This is such a beautiful area, shame that possibly it will be destroyed by not-so-caring people in the future decades.
🤩🤩🤩
👏👏👏👏
Go to Zoar Valley and fly!
