At last - someone has highlighted how uncomfortable the Brompton is on anything but smooth road. Mine rattles and bumps along ---- teeth chattering and bum hurting. Arms soon aching.
Lol... Both banks of the Thames path include many sections of cobbles.... old London 😂. Both my Brompton and Strida have small wheels which don't cope as well as ordinary bikes.... rather teeth rattling 😊.
Good video which shows a couple of the short-comings of the bike. I have one on loan for a month and I'm surprised by the noisy motor (I haven't ridden any other e-bikes so this could be normal) and the rattling from the battery doesn't sound good. I can't imagine the mount lasting very long on our pot-hole jammed roads.
@@BroMattCycle So true, I've had a couple before and will now stick with my (manual 😂) C Line Explorer. To be fair the e-Brompton is fine on good surfaces - and it eats hills! There are compromises to be made for the convenience of having a bike you can carry onto a bus/coach/train or even load into a car boot. Cheers 👍🏼
Hi, having the same problem with mine (very uncomfortable even on little bumps, vibrations and shocks in the arms etc), I tried a friend's E Brompton and it was absolutely not the same sensation, very cool and smoth (while same handlebar and front bag). Has anyone succeeded in investigating this issue (I don't think this is normal at all now I tried another E Brompton)? I will try on my side to compare my bike and ma friend's one to see if I find something
