HARRY FRIEDMAN HONORED WITH HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME STAR

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has honored producer Harry Friedman with the 2,680th Star on the World Famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, in the Category of Television, on November 1, 2019, in Los Angeles.

Why is someone who isn't famous getting a star on the Walk of Fame?

The Hollywood Walk of Fame honors both those who are “famous” as well as those calling the shots. Harry has called the shots for many Daytime Emmy winning shows, including the ones mentioned in the video. I worked with him on the Hollywood Squares during the late 80’s.

I'm very nervous about Mike Richards taking over for Friedman, who has done great work on both 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Jeopardy', in 2020. Richards should be very ashamed of the work he did on 'Weakest Link', especially the syndicated version with George Gray. Most of the contestants behaved like they belonged in a mad house. I also haven't watched 'The Price is Right' or 'Let's Make a Deal' in a long time since Richards took over as executive producer.

Worry no more, as last year, Richards got the sack from both shows because of past scandals involving him being made public. Michael Davies now produces Jeopardy! while Bellamie Blackstone produces Wheel.
