THINGS I MISSED: 1) Contrary to what I thought, Bravely Second's DEMO is worthwhile. It tells a story not seen in the actual game, although a bit detatched from it, apparently. Certainly worth having if you care about the series. Thanks fenni ken, for this info! Additionally, the DEMO for Bravely Default helps in making the beginning easier, and saving money early on since you transfer equipment from the DEMO. Nothing exclusive though, so no huge deal. 2) There are two more small extras in Monster Hunter Stories I failed to notice: you can unlock two new costumes for your palico, one if you have a Monster Hunter Generations save file, and another if you have a Monster Hunter Stories DEMO save file. The latter, of course is the only one that will become unobtainable. 3) Culdecpt Revolt also has DLC! Huge oversight on my part, sorry! Several are free too! The major ones are: a Free quest called the Hopping Toad (2blocks); a quest for 0.99 called Challenge from Hell and a 3 stage quest for 3.99 (2). There is also a free pack of avatars (2); a free book cover pack (3); a bundle with all 30 avatars (also sold sepparatly) for 19.99 (30); a bundle with all 36 paid book covers 14.99 (36); a bundle with all dice designs for 9.99 (18); and finally 10 free map battles (2 each). Total block size is 131 blocks and total price is almost 50 bucks. Thanks to Jesse Glenn for this one! 4) Theathrythm FF Curtain Call has 99 songs as DLC not only 20 like I mistakenly said in the video! I only saw page 1 of 5, that's how I got it wrong. So total price will be over 100 bucks, crazy! Thanks to Jessie Guadarrama for this one! 5) Unfortunatly Conception II has been delisted, both the game and its DLC :( . But they are still available on Steam and PS Vita (maybe other platforms too). Thanks to Jessie Guadarrama for this one! 6) We got confirmation that the FF Explorers's DLC exclusive to the collector's edition does have expiration date and it's past, so, no way to get those anymore. Super lame. Thanks Lofnix who for this one! 7) Art Academy has10 extra mini lessons as DLC, priced at £1.79 apiece (UK price), aside from that goomba I mentioned. Thanks to starlac for this one! 8) Imagine Fashion Life DLCs have been discountinued. Thanks to starlac for this one! 9) Forgot to mention that in 7th Dragon you need to get to the Communication Center to access the DLC. 10) Pure Chess also has the DLCs on the 3DS version, and with stereoscopic 3D! Thanks to Jesse for another one :D. 11) Fire Emblem Warriors was probably the biggest oversight on my side, I apologize for this. There is a Season Pass DLC for $19.99 with a set of 3 downloads, the same ones that came out on the switch version as well. They add new characters, weapons and getting the season pass instead of each pack grants you a new costume for Lucina.
Having the Kirby Battle Royale Demo would gives you Meta Knight. Shovel Knight Treasure Trove also has free DLC however it's missing one (Showdown). It's also in Steam for a higher price ($39.99) but it is likely to get discounts (like the one going on right now until July 7) and includes all DLCs. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong. Still salty that I missed the 3DS discount 😒 Edited: Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack also has DLC but it's mostly music/songs, boss challenges, and a extra song.
Could you do a video based on games from other consoles in the 3DS eShop? A couple of examples would be 'SteamWorld Tower Defense' which no longer exist anywhere else and 'Severed' a PS Vita game that's hyper cheap compared to the physical prices.
This is my seventh time referring back to this video. Your work on the eshop series is priceless research for gamers. Thank you for all your hard work!
Very useful video! 3DS games dlc is such a convoluted process by having to access it in-game usually under specific conditions. This video is incredibly helpful for me to decide which DLC to go for before they disappear forever. Thanks for such a well research video
Just incredible. I've read endless forums, scoured countless reddit threads, and watched a plethora of videos. Nothing is as detailed and convenient as this single video for DLC related preservation.
Awesome, glad to know you found it helpful! I also went through the same process as you, looking into reddit threads and all that. This one was a lot of work, but Im happy I could make it, as its one of the most important ones with how incomplete every list online is.
First time I ever use this feature. But your videos are so desperately needed in this final week of eShop. On all the past stores closing I did all that research myself to make sure I don't miss anything. But with 2 kids time is very limited and videos like yours are highly appreciated my friend!
After finishing this (left first comment before it even started) I'm now wishing I could hit that line button a few hundred times! You're a hero for the people, sir. I was one of those who thought, "if I don't see the dlc in the store, it doesn't exist". Thanks SO VERY MUCH!!!
This series is so wonderful to people just getting into games, it who might not have an encyclopedic knowledge of everything available. Probably a bunch of editing to do this, so thanks so much!
Someone is gonna find this video after the eshop shuts down and be really sad that they can no longer get any of this DLC legitimately… glad I found it in time! Most of them I was already aware of from my own research, but you did inform me of a few games that I need to look into!
First let me add my thanks for embarking in such endeavor and bringing a wonderful guide. I have my 2 cents to add though... One is that FF COURTAIN CALL DLC has 99 songs and 6 characters to purchase making it over a $100 bucks. One can acces to samples of the songs via FF wiki -for those who are interested. My suggestion is to wait for a sale get the main game discounted and have a list of the songs and characters you want to have from the DLC. The second thing is that the CONCEPTION II: Children of the 7 Stars DLC has been delisted. I do not know since when but, earlier this year tried to get some DLC and there was nothing -If you want to play the whole thing complete with DLC I think the Steam version has it.
Thanks for these corrections, Jessie! You are totally right! I only saw page 1 of 5 in the DLC of Curtain Call, so I thought it had 20 songs only, when its actually 99 like you said. I dont have Conception II to test the DLC, but I trust you about the removal. I see confirmation of the game itself being delisted from the eshop, so it makes sense that the DLC was also delisted. Apologies for these oversights. Will correct it in the description and pinned comment today! Appreciate your support very much!
@@FromTheVoidGames Oh! Don't worry as I said, it was a helluva of a project you created. Regarding Conception well the DLC is bought in game like the Fire Emblem ones. Consisted of 16 dlcs more or less with the typical ATLUS focus: armor, weapons, constumes, extra experience/ gold dungeons, alternative boss fights and what IMO the best DLCs and sadly is no more is Monokuma's Strikes & M. Revenge where u fight the mascot of Danganronpa. I think you can still watch videos of these DLCs in youtube.
Thank you for you hard work! You are the first on youtube I donate to. But your work with the DLC is exceptional! Can't be valued enough! Kind regards from Germany! ❤️
Thank you so much Das Hannsche! Honored that you found my channel worth donating! :D This means a lot, really appreciate your support and kind words! Sorry it took me so long to answer.
Great Video, Arthur, very thorough. congrats on reaching 3K Subs. The retail version of Pokemon Rumble World is a better option, it has all the in-game freemium currency given to you for free. At the time this would have been offset by the cost of buying the retail version, but I don't think the game's held value on the second hand market. Art Academy for 3DS has 10 paid DLC additional mini lessons, like "Drawing Birds" and "Paint like van Gogh" priced at £1.79 apiece (UK price). If I remember right, you have to access them in-game. 1:43:22 I just recently got that "Imagine Fashion" game, had a look. Trying to access the store kept giving me error code 005-4270. The 3DS is not having problems with accessing the eShop outside the game, so it might be that the game's shop has been discontinued.
One comment I want to add about some of the Layton games: I don’t believe you have to complete the story in order to get the 365 puzzles. I just started Miracle Mask and had played once, just the opening twenty or thirty minutes. The second time I started the game, the menu had the option of checking out the bonus content. I was able to download all of the extra puzzles. I imagine this would be similar for The Azran Legacy, but I’m not sure about Layton’s Mystery Journey. I can confirm that in order to access the extra content in Layton vs. Wright, you need to complete the game.
Awesome, thanks for the info! Ok, so Layton vs Ace Attorney is the one to concentrate here, cool. It's the most important too with new story stuff, so now double the reason. Thanks again Josiah, really appreciated!
I can confirm that for both Miracle Mask and Azran Legacy, you just need to play until you make a save file. You can quit the game and access "Bonuses" to download the daily puzzles. Unfortunately, for PLvsPW, I did have to complete the game to access the extra content.
This is an incredible video and I can't even imagine how much work went into it! Extremely useful now that the closing of the eshops is approaching fast.
Thanks, AWEtistic! It did take a lot of work, but totally worth it, specially since a lot of people have been helping out in filling in all the blanks! Will do an add-on video to this with all the remaining DLCs I missed, soon! Thanks for leaving a comment :D
What a legend! This video was an amazing find for my own "research" into games and DLCs that I want to get before the eshop closes, especially Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei. Definitely liked and subscribed for this! :D
OMG thank you so much for this. I bought most of the games I want before the shop closes, but I almost forgot about DLC! there were a few that I didn't even know had DLC
Thank you so much for these videos. I learned about so many games that I am really interested in now, that i might never have heard of until it was too late. Also I had no idea that I need to complete Professor Layton to get the DLC, so i will be sure to get on top of that as soon as possible. Great videos!
Wow, great video! You out did yourself. I see now I'm going to have some hard choices with the limited time we have left. Thanks for helping us make the most of it. I've had SmileBASIC on my 3DS wishlist for a long time but didn't realize it made it to the Wii U. Would love a copy but unfortunately I can't it on the NA Wii U eShop. Did this ever get released outside of Japan?
Thanks, classic pc tinker! Yeah, you are right, smile basic for wii u is japan only, my bad. I was reading about the 3DS one and it mentioned the Wii U version, I assumed it existed worldwide.
@@FromTheVoidGames Still a great find! I had no idea it existed. Been toying with the idea of picking up a Japanese Wii U for the Fire Emblem games and SmileBASIC makes the idea all the more attractive. Thanks for checking it out and for all your hard work putting together this list!
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to put this video together! You did a great job so major kudos to you!! I just got a 3ds and I am trying to get all the games, dlc, and updates I will ever want... Sigh. I need more money.
My pleasure, Eric! Good luck to you in the journey to get all the things you want before the eshops close! And stay tuned for more videos on the 3DS soon! Thanks for watching!
Wow Arthur, you made a lot of list of Wii U and 3DS games that have DLC before eShop closes forever just for the Wii U and 3DS system. Thank you so much for the guide on some games that DLC has to offer. 😊
My pleasure, Kerthan! Glad you enjoyed! Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave this comment! Stay tuned for more 3DS and Wii U coverage soon!
Excellent work as usual. This must have taken a lot of time and effort to put together (it felt like enough time and effort just watching through and taking notes lol), but it's deeply appreciated! This kind of documentation is super useful for those of us interested in obscure games and the act of preserving them, which is made a lot harder than it needs to be. Please keep up the great work!
Thank you so much Magma! I just cought this comment sitting in the limbo "held for review" section of the comments that I rarely check. Comments with profanity or other unwanted words usually go there, but I have no clue why yours was put there! Sorry it took so long for me to find this. Yeah, it was a lot of work putting this together, but I enjoyed doing it, and it was usually for myself too lol! Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more eshop coverage soon!
@@FromTheVoidGames Interesting, yeah, not sure why my comment would go there... Still, appreciate you replying eventually! You clearly value your community, and I think that's great. I look forward to the next eShop video!
First of all, thank you so much for this video, I was looking forward to this one because information on the DLC's is pretty hard to find. For the Final Fantasy Explorers DLC, it is actually completely impossible to redeem the DLC here even when you buy a sealed collector's edition. I personally bought the collectors edition on release but only opened it up a couple of years ago.I was sad to find out that the codes had already expired by the time that I opened it, they were only valid for a year or two. Just a warning for the people that thought about finding a sealed collector's edition just for this DLC. :)
My pleasure, Lofnix! Great to have a confirmation about the FF Explorers DLC. Even more ridiculous that they put an expiration date on a DLC exclusive to the collector's edition. That was real lame. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Will add to the description and pinned comment now.
Thank you so much for this info! I just wanted to clarify did you try the code depsite it being expired? In the past I've been successful at redeeming expired codes, but that's more on the Playstation side of things and I'm uncertain if that's the case on the eshop.
@@BrandonTheRandomGamer Hi, just to make sure I just tested all 4 codes in the game and they did indeed not work. So sadly it is lost media at this point. :(
@@Lofnix Thank you so very much for taking the time to do this!! I had the chance to snag a sealed CE, so I wanted to see if there was any hope in that. Aww well, I'm a big FF fan so I'm sad I missed out on it as well.
Thanks for this video! It was crazy long, but thanks to you I was able to catch several DLCs I would have really been pissed off if I missed. Namely: the Professor Layton v Phoenix Wright DLC (have to try and finish by the deadline, sadly I might miss it), Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice; the Pikmin 3 DLCs, the Fantasy Life end game DLC (which is apparently really good); some Persona Q DLCs, and some Radiant Historia DLCs as well. Basically fleshing out my RPGs and puzzle games haha.
Well done on this staggering project! I watched the entire series on the eshop closing and will be keeping a close eye on the european sales to pick up some of your recommendations. Have followed you on twitter to make sure I don't miss any too :)
You have no idea how much this video would have helped me months ago, I did most of the research on my own but didn't manage to find everything. I looked over your video to make sure I didn't miss anything and you actually covered a lot. Thank you.
My pleasure, H R! Glad you liked the video and found it helpful even after the research! Thanks for watching and leaving this comment, and stay tuned for more 3DS and Wii U coverage soon. Next video will be on the 3DS.
Hey I notice you did not inclued the dlc for Fire Emblem Warriors. I can be accessed from the main menu and it gives you more characters to play as. It does not appear in game with dlc section of the eshop
(1:11:47) Actually, Water Shuriken isn't a unique move. Any Greninja can learn it. The unique ability for Ash-Greninja is Battle Bond, which does slightly alter how Water Shuriken works. Also, you still had the Battle Bond ability when you transferred it to Bank there, but it seems very weird that Bank would erase all of its moves. Maybe something glitched? (1:13:48) Yeah, you can eventually access and complete all of the stuff in Pokémon Shuffle without spending a penny. I've been playing it for several years, and I have every Pokémon, and didn't spend any real money on it. Of course, all the daily check-ins and periodic rewards from special stages and competitions certainly helped. Of course, I'm also wondering if daily check-ins, special stages, and competitions will continue to function after the shop's closing.
Cool, thanks for the correction and clarifications, SomeGuy712! I am currently playing Shuffle daily without spending money! Great to know I will be able to go far without spening. I am currently stuck on godamn Mega Medichan... hate him. I need better pokemon. I decided today to go back and catch some new ones... I knew Ash's Greninja had some uniqueness related to the shuriken, but must have forgotten that it was an ability and not the move itself. Yeah, weird that moving to home caused the moves to be deleted right? no idea what happened, but easy to fix that I guess. will do that some time :D. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment!
Arthur, thank you so much for your efforts to catalog all these exclusive games and DLC. I can't count how many times I've referenced your playlist. This is an amazing step in helping game preservation. You helped myself and others save so much money while also paying developers for their hard work. Looking forward to your future videos!
I’m watching this right after buying Layton vs. Wright so the part where you mention not leaving beating the game till the last minute made me laugh so I didn’t cry. :)
_Currently counting down the hours till the 3DS eShop is closed, I really appreciate this video and all the timestamps! all the research behind it and price costs were awesome to have! Long live the 3DS!_ 💖
Well... Time for me to start playing DQ7 so I can still get the DLC in time. :D As always thanks so much for this Arthur, sure made me find some that I didn't know about. Also wtf really dude? You never played Minecraft? And here I thought I was the only one in the whole world haha. ^^ Oh and a small mistake I've noticed - you said Bruce Banner but I'm quite sure it should be Bruce Wayne who's Batman... Though I kinda like to imagine what a Batman Hulk would look like. xD
lol, yeah, you are the third person to catch that pathetic slip up of mine, lol, mixed the Bruces from different universes even😂🤣. The DQ7 thing is a small story piece, its not gonna be super meaningful, but I think its worth it if you are a big fan of Dragon Quest games. Thanks for watching Alex!
@@FromTheVoidGames It's more than a story piece. You get to unlock a pretty bunch of new Monsters that would otherwise never appear in your beastary. So if you are for a complete beastiary, you better unlock the DLC. And you get some cool stuff as well ... my most favourite is 'Eye of Rubiss' (or something like that), an accessory that prevents one of your party member dying from death spells. 👍 It's a life insurence to your party. 😅
Big ups to you for achieving a milestone goal and amassing a substantial following. You play a very important role in video game preservation departament. Here's to doubling your sub count!
lol, I know! I mixed the Bruces. That was pathetic. But kinda funny so Im not even correcting it in the description or anything. lol. Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Why did RUclips throw this in my face a couple weeks too gdamn late?!? I had no idea there was so much DLC for so many games~~they certainly weren’t in Nintendo’s eshop!! I have the physical copies! I had enough memory blocks! I had the money! And now I’ll be without lots of cool content forever!!! AARRGHH!!! On the other hand, this was a great video! I’ve watched it twice so far and I subscribed~~I won’t miss out again!
Yeah, I hear you, Craig. Also wished RUclips would have given a harder push, lol, cause so many games and DLCs stayed in the shadows even with a lot of people covering the eshops closing. Thanks for the sub! Glad you found the video interesting even if you cant access the games legit anymore.
I was looking for months for a good and understandable list and your's was the best! Putting the price and how to get on certain games made it the best guide I saw on the internet! Now that I watched the whole video I see that I'm in more trouble than I thought if I'll try to get all the DLCs i want lol Thank you very much for this video, it's great!
Thank you so much for this comment, David! This means a lot! Really glad you found this helpful, and thanks for watching such a long video all the way :D. Stay tuned for more coverage of the 3DS and Wii U soon. I plan on covering everything before the stores close ;D.
Just a note, you can actually download DLC for games you don't (yet) own. At least on WiiU. Just something worth considering if you bargain hunt for physicals like me, but also want DLC because like me, you're a sucker for paying too much to collect things (digital things). FAST and Shin'en are on a different level though, actually good bang for you buck there.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! Seriously, I can't imagine how much work it must have been to do all the research and to put this video together. Insane levels of dedication here. Subscribing immediately... A few things I'd like to add: 1. I didn't see it listed here, but I believe Swapdoodle has paid DLCs as well as one free DLC pack. These involve stuff like new pen colors and drawing lessons. 2. Poke transporter (which gives the ability to transfer Pokemon from generation 5 and virtual console games to the newer games) is technically free DLC for Pokemon Bank, although you must have a current or expired Bank pass to access the download. It will not be available after the shop closes. 3. On the topic of Pokemon Shuffle: according to Bulbapedia, the servers will be shutting down alongside the shop, so the check-in feature will no longer work.
Took me a couple of week to finish watching this one. Thanks for putting the research and effort make such important video. This channel is too underrated.
Cool, welcome aboard, slowedlotus! The next video will also be on the 3DS, have a lot to cover and time is running out, lol. Glad you liked this video, thanks for the sub and comment!
I’ve been rewatching this video all day to make sure I get everything I really don’t wanna miss out on. Thank You So Much for the work you did on this video.
Thank you so much for doing all of this work! The last 3DS series I want to get purchased to be able to get into is Fire Emblem. So just knowing that I need to buy the games and play part way through to access the dlc is extremely helpful. I was hoping to hold out until the last minute in case of Nintendo doing a sale (I seriously doubt it but still), but I’d rather be sure to have time to unlock the dlc purchasing menus.
Absolutely. Better be safe than sorry. Since you are a fan of Fire Emblem, maybe consider doing the same with the Shin Megami Tensei games, 4 also has some time requirement. Just in case you haven't yet and may be interested in playing these games in the future. Thanks for watching Kevin, glad to be of help!
Thank you so much for this video. 21:55. I picked up a copy of miracle mask for future play and would have totally missed the daily puzzle thing. Luckily the previous owner had completed the game with at least one save file so I could download all 365. Thank you!!
That was an oversight of my part! I even have Culdcept Revolt, damn! Will include in the description and pinned comment right away! Thank you so much for this correction Jesse! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hey Arthur, just noted this one: Pure Chess also has this DLC on 3DS, and is stereoscopic. Definitely well worth it, I would recommend the DLC. Thanks again for all your hard work!
Slight correction for NSMB2 and Sonic Lost World as well as corrections for games that have a 3DS equivalent with similar DLC. There are two ways to obtain the DLC stages for Coin Rush, either purchase them from a physical/digital copy or obtain a console bundle that contains a special version of NSMB2 with all the DLC courses included known as NSMB2 Special/Gold edition depending on the region. That version not only has a unique logo/title screen but also has unique code that removes the shop button due to already containing the DLC courses. Sonic Lost World actually has *three* DLC stages. One was obtainable via purchasing the "Deadly Six" Edition of the game while the other two are mentioned in the video. At first Sonic Lost World was Wii U exclusive which also included the DLC, but thanks to dedicated fans and modders of the PC version of Sonic Lost World all three DLC stages can be played on PC with improved gameplay via mods. Minecraft has a 3DS version that is similar to the mobile version originally known as Minecraft Pocket Edition, it has a select number of DLC skin packs, texture packs and two mashup packs. The first one is the Mario Mashup pack while the other is the Festive 2016. Minecraft 3DS Edition is exclusive to the NEW Nintendo 3DS line of handhelds due to the hardware differences between old and NEW 3DSs. Pure Chess is also available on 3DS with the same DLC as the Wii U version. Still weird that *Chess* of all games can have DLC.
Those are great corrections/extra information on all these games. I will feature those in an upcoming video, already working on the Sonic Lost World extra level capturing the footage! Thank you so much Nuclear Birbs!
Thank you so much, Scott! It certainly is a lot of DLC, good amount of worthwhile and obscure stuff too. Thanks for watching and leaving this comment, man, appreciate the support!
@@FromTheVoidGames Funny too since I did have a handful of games mentioned. One of which is Fantasy Life, I bought that sucker with a 30% discount as part of my Birthday month. It is a somewhat okay experience. Think of a more friendlier version of the Rune Factory Series but your resources can be infinitely gathered by simply leaving the screen and constantly grinding. Though that grind is haulted or speed up by the stronger tools you get. It doesn't hurt too much going in for one specific class or using multiple. Running and crouching are definitely the first few things you'd want to max out if or when you do get the game. I may re-watch the video again for some of the games I do have on the shelf.
Hi fenni ken! Awesome! Thanks for this info, man, really appreciate it! will add to the description/pinned comment for Bravely Second! for Bravely Default, I think I'll play the demo to figure out what exactly it unocks, because people online are saying its mostly consumable items... what does "mostly" mean, right? Do you know if there is something exclusive that is unlocked through the demo?
@@FromTheVoidGames nothing exclusive, but you do save money because it does give you a lot of the starting equipment you would need to buy otherwise, I think second it really is just consumables, but the fact it's its own story and cannon to the game alone makes it worth playing. Talk about being dlc yet not.
Project x zone was delisted so hard it vanished out of human consciousness. There were two games and DLC for the second one all gone… the only thing left is the free update for pxz2
Good to know. I have both PXZ games but have only payed a little bit of the first one so far. Did not know abot the delisted DLC, could have included in the delisted section, but no harm on this one. Thanks for the comments man!
@@FromTheVoidGames unfortunately both games failed miserably because apparently the fans who demanded that genre only talk but don’t buy. I checked pxz2 by myself and I sadly confirmed the dlc were stripped completely
For the Fire Emblem games, I suggest putting them on the easiest game mode possible (usually Easy/Classic) and powering through the beginning chapters until you can buy the DLC. There’s no point spending a few hours on the first chapters at a harder difficulty if you aren’t going to play through the game yet
Your videos are incredible, thank you for all the time and effort you put into making them! I am especially appreciative of your thorough DLC coverage, you saved me from missing out on so much content. Keep up the great work, I hope your channel continues to grow!
Thank you so much for all the info you provided in this. We are less then a month away, and having a nice clear cut video with directions has helped me a ton!!
Weird, I somehow missed this video in my feed 🤔. While I’m not too concerned with picking up all the DLC for titles I have (more so just getting the titles themselves), there are definitely some DLCs here I didn’t know existed and may look into. Thanks for a video like this, I can’t begin to think how long this probably took to make 😅.
Yeah, it was a lot of work. The sad thing is that the algorithm doesn't care. Not showing it to people subscribed to the channel is a stab in the heart after this much work. But oh well, gotta keep my head up. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment Tylorian!
Nice video I was checking my 3ds games to see which one had dlc this video save a lot of time checking my games for dlc but I think you forgot the extra content of fossil fighters frontier and the inazuma eleven games
Hi Danjustice! Thank you very much for this! So guess what, Im making a video with the DLCs I did not mention in this one right now. Need your help here. Thanks makreel! lol, yeah, calling it Ash's Greninja but keeping the sprite of a regular Greninja led to a lot of disapointment. Thanks for watching, makreel!
All professor layton puzzles can be downloaded without completing the game, only requirement to unlock those is to finish the game introduction (aka tutorial) of each game
Yep, pretty awesome game, Runner 2, really fun and addictive. it's available in lots of platforms, PlayStation 4, Steam, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita. Will give Runner 3 a try too. Thanks for the support, Mark!
You missed the most important part of the Senran Kagura DLC: One of the packs is a quest that lets you change the bust size of all the girls! (not kidding...) Fantasy Life is absolutely worth getting. Sort of a mix of Rune Factory with a few chill Animal Crossing vibes. The DLC is totally worth it as well.
Lol, yes, that's a very important thing to mention, did not know that! Will add to the pinned comment (not kidding lol). A lot of people confirmed that Fantasy Life is great! So I got it, lol :D. I talk about that plus 40 something other games in my recent pickups video if you wanna check that out. ruclips.net/video/dvYCQxHzm_E/видео.html Thanks for watching and leaving this comment, walt!

It is heeeeere!! Btw love your channel you put in such good effort making everything easily digestible and fun to watch enjoy them a lot. And if I am too give a suggestion I see you have art books in the background I would enjoy a quick overview of them because I collect them and saw some I don’t have and wonder if they are good and I already have to many so what can a few more do (yes this is purely a selfish and stupid opinion but I am biased cuz I have a obsession with that(it’s a half a joke I do have a unhealthy amount of them at this point lol)
Thank you so much, Alexander! Glad you are enjoying the channel! That's a great idea! I am certainly a fellow fan of games artbooks and simmilar things. I have a good amount of them because of the collector's editions I own. I will do this for sure, great suggestion, Alexander, appreciate it!
I have a 2nd hand Curious Village and it isn’t recognising my wi-fi key. Do you think I’m better off just buying another one? They’re pretty cheap at the moment.
Almost 2 hours? Time to make a meal first. I have a whack of things on my wish list for 3DS and figured there's no rush in buying stuff right now and so I'll just keep checking for sales. I just picked up Resident Evil Revelations on sale for $7 and RE: Mercenaries for $5. Not really fan of the forced progression to get DLC, what what am I gonna do?
Yeah, this video got way too long. I dont expect anyone to watch the whole thing, lol. Yeah, Capcom is having sales very frequently, which is great. Wish Monster Hunter Stories would get a discount oe of those times... The forced progression for DLCs is really weird right? I can already see people freaking out close to the eshops closure next year, lol. Thanks for watching, TehZergRush!
Pokemon Picross actually gives away the max currency (or did at some point) so it became EXTREMELY easy to finish the game without spending anything. Same with the other F2P Pokemon titles. I don't remember why they did it exactly.
i can not download the devil survivor 2 SPOTPASS dlc , i am not referring to the missions you said in the video but to this free "dlc" via spotpass , by chance do you know if there is a way to be able to download the spotpass dlc? it's not a dlc, it's more an update
I'm currently watching the video, but I noticed you didn't mention Fire Emblem Warriors' DLC Season Pass. It's also on Switch but the New Nintendo 3DS Version also has the season pass.
Absolutely. That was the biggest game I missed, huge oversight, I apologize. I have added it to the pinned comment. Thanks for watching and pointing this out!
>You have to finish both Professor Layton miracle mask AND azran legacy to download the free DLC >I just got my entire Layton collection last weekend OH SHIX!!!! I knew the crossover had that and I did get it all these years ago, but I had no idea that was the case too in the main Layton games. What should I do? BTW, I am still shocked to learn there are people who finished PLvPW all the way back in 2014 yet they somehow missed the free DLC.
I'm sort off in the same boat as you. I just got some of the latest Layton games and I had forgot about those extra puzzles. Though what I might end doing is cheating my way through the games by looking at walkthroughs to speed things up.
Hi CaptainM! It seems that you already enjoy the PL series, so my advise would be to start playing them beginning with the prequel trilogy. Thats a good way to play them as they are the chronological beginning. The very first one chronologically is The Last Spectre. Then Miracle Mask, followed by Azran Legacy. If you do it this way, its "only" 3 games to beat before March 2023, so not to lose access to the extra puzzles, and you will have maximum appreciation of the story. There is even a password in each one to unlock things in the next one, which you will be able to appreciate fully this way as well. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
@@FromTheVoidGames As many of us grown-up Gamers time is a thing we lack in spades. Currently Im juggling about 6 games between my 3ds and my Switch. So if I do really want to slot in any of the Layton games I cannot have the luxury of spending half an evening trying to solve 1 puzzle as when I was a student. Which is sad cuz the puzzles are fun but if I do want to get that year or extra puzzles then I feel I have to go the route of following a walkthrough and finding the puzzles solution so I can get those extras. Oh! I want to thank you about this too cuz I had forgotten about the extra puzzles, I will have to get my solved ones and check IF I downloaded the extras ☺️.
@@FromTheVoidGames 7:41 but there is also Heritage. I really don't understand this whole fates thing. 11:50 code name steam looks like an x-com but its price is a bit much (€40). 25:52 thanks for the RH dlcs. 32:52 I have dq7, am at Pool of the Cave - Where is this download bar exactly, what chapter is the Download Bar? 48:00 FL is god. You must have it! and origin island is an absolute must. i watched the whole thing, and I found the order confusing. Probably alphabetical. You could have done 3ds exclusive vs wii u.
Hey, think you can each month cover the new ps classic games to the psn? Not a lot of games and are pretty cheap to buy out right. For instance we finally have a new release of the first ape escape.
That's a great idea! I was itching to take a closer look at the psn legacy games they've been re-releasing. Will do in the next few days, and will probably try making some videos on it for sure. Thanks for your thoughtfull suggestions, fenni ken!
Just a note about Puzzle Dragon Z, for reason the cartridge version crashes with an error seemingly randomly. The Mario Bros version seems to fare better. It might just be a good idea to get it digitally anyway though if you plan to play it in the future
I bought a used copy of Professor Layton Miracle Mask and it has a completed game save data. I was surprised to see all the 365 daily puzzles available to download. So I guess the "dlc" is saved into the cart itself.
I have honestly given up on most DLC. The DS Layton games won't connect to my current WiFi (the machine will, but the game is too old to be able to accept the encryption), and the COST of it all just turns me off. I have the main games. That will have to be enough for me. I think the only ones I have left that I haven't bought DLC for and might is Smash Bros. and Samurai Chronicles 3. Honestly I was never much of a fan of DLC to begin with. So much nickel and diming.
Yeah, I see your point. Its a lot of hassle to get the DLCs, specially on the 3DS with all the forced progression, and most of the good ones are real expensive, even by industry's standards. Thanks for watching and leaving this comment, Callogan!
@@FromTheVoidGames aye, I enjoy watching what you put out! Thanks for all the hard work. It was a lot especially for this one. And yeah, the forced progression hurts much of my desire, too. At least my fire emblem games were secondhand and had saves at the point I could buy it all. That much I’m grateful for.
All the professor Layton games dlc can be gotten and downloaded at the start of the game. The only one you have to beat to download the dlc is Phoenix write vs professor Layton. I've downloaded personally the daily puzzles for all the other games without beating the games. Pretty sure anyway.
THINGS I MISSED:
1) Contrary to what I thought, Bravely Second's DEMO is worthwhile.
I did not know this. That's nutty. I may have to see someone play through it on YT since all of my space on the 3DS is taken up at this point.
Do the Monster Hunter Stories on the Android still have the DLCS?
@@callofhaloinfinite6336 Probably.
Still salty that I missed the 3DS discount 😒
Edited: Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack also has DLC but it's mostly music/songs, boss challenges, and a extra song.
Awesome!! Thanks for the support and kind words TIM! Glad you are finding this series helpful!
Very useful video! 3DS games dlc is such a convoluted process by having to access it in-game usually under specific conditions. This video is incredibly helpful for me to decide which DLC to go for before they disappear forever. Thanks for such a well research video
Hell of a late reply but with the shutdown inching ever closer I’m thankful for this video.
😊😊😊Thank you so much, midgetsparkle, for the kind words! Yeah, the eshops are a mess when it comes to DLC. Glad I could help in some way!
This series is so wonderful to people just getting into games, it who might not have an encyclopedic knowledge of everything available. Probably a bunch of editing to do this, so thanks so much!
Glad you like them, midgetsparkle! Yes, it was loads of work. Hope the algorithm spreads it to lots of people!
@@FromTheVoidGames I’ll share to my tiny, tiny social media/game friends. And my poor girlfriend…I’ll say it’s about cats and memes!
@@midgetsparkle lol :DDD Thank you so much, dude! This means a lot!
Someone is gonna find this video after the eshop shuts down and be really sad that they can no longer get any of this DLC legitimately… glad I found it in time! Most of them I was already aware of from my own research, but you did inform me of a few games that I need to look into!
Cool, glad you found this helpful!
Thanks! Excellent job! Enjoyed watching through. Have added some games and dlc's to my wish list!
😊😊😊 Thank you so much, Tim! This means so much!
This series on the eshop closing has been so incredibly helpful. Thank you for the effort and time you put into these, we really appreciate it!
@@FromTheVoidGames No need to apologize! 🙂
Thanks, starlac! Great information, thank you so much! Will add them to the description/pinned comment! Appreciate your constant support!!
Im so glad I found this comment. I just got these games two days ago and thought that the DLC would be lost forever to me!
@@shaynecollier2175 Glad I was able to help and save you from some stress!

Appreciate all the work you put into this. Thanks!

Well... Time for me to start playing DQ7 so I can still get the DLC in time. :D
As always thanks so much for this Arthur, sure made me find some that I didn't know about.
Also wtf really dude? You never played Minecraft? And here I thought I was the only one in the whole world haha. ^^
Oh and a small mistake I've noticed - you said Bruce Banner but I'm quite sure it should be Bruce Wayne who's Batman...

Why did RUclips throw this in my face a couple weeks too gdamn late?!? I had no idea there was so much DLC for so many games~~they certainly weren’t in Nintendo’s eshop!! I have the physical copies!
A few things I'd like to add:

Arthur, you’re a god send. Thank you so much for this amazing content. We all appreciate it so insanely much. Keep up the great work. ❤❤❤
My pleasure, Hutch! Glad to be of help :D Thanks for the kind words
I really appreciate the level of detail you put into these videos. Far beyond what other channels have done!
Thank you so much for this video. 21:55. I picked up a copy of miracle mask for future play and would have totally missed the daily puzzle thing. Luckily the previous owner had completed the game with at least one save file so I could download all 365. Thank you!!
Really great video. The research alone must have taken forever. Respect
Thanks James! Yeah, it was the biggest project ever, lol. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Thank you so much as always! I didn't see Culdcept Revolt; plenty of dlc there.
@@jesseglenn8803 Thanks Jesse!! Appreciate the extra info! Will add this to the pinned comment!😀
720 60! Thanks again! Always appreciate these videos
I found a way to keep them at 60 automatically. Don't know why they hid it so well, lol. Glad you liked it, Mark, thanks for the constant support!
Congrats on 3k subscribers
Thank you so much 😀 Appreciate the support, malachi! Thanks for watching!
Congrats on 3K it is well warranted. Man... that's a lot of DLC.
The bravely games did the same thing as code name steam. Heck, the bravely second demo is a chapter 0.
This has saved me so much time. Just thanks so much!
For the Fire Emblem games, I suggest putting them on the easiest game mode possible (usually Easy/Classic) and powering through the beginning chapters until you can buy the DLC. There’s no point spending a few hours on the first chapters at a harder difficulty if you aren’t going to play through the game yet
Great tip, Daniel! Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more 3DS coverage soon (next video is focused on the 3DS).
Hope the emulation wizards can back up as much of these as possible for us all to enjoy when Nintendo'int
Thank you for this crash course. I had a lot of dlc, but had to redownload a lot of it. The shop is a mess for finding dlc in game only stores
Bro, you are legend! I've been dreading how to keep track of all this and your video made it very easy!
I got the fossil fighter DLCs, but not the Inazuma. Can you tell me what is it and how to access it, please? Would help me out big time! Im about to finish the video actually.
@@FromTheVoidGames it's in the go version it's are password but I'm waiting for them and inazuma 3 team orge is extra content when you link it with the other version
You are the best for making this video 🔥🔥🔥💯
My pleasure, Ninja! Happy to do it! Stay tuned for much more 3DS coverage soon. Working on the next one right now. Thanks for watching and leaving this comment!
Great video, quite the extensive list! I remember downloading the Ash Greninja for Pokemon Sun & Moon and thnking "What the heck is this??" haha
Much more information than the other viddys. Ty!
Glad you enjoyed, pulpprof526! Stay tuned for more 3DS and Wii U coverage soon!
1:38:58 is Runner 2. Its a really good game actually. Not sure if its anywhere but on WiiU. 3 is on Switch
(not kidding...)
Fantasy Life is absolutely worth getting.
Thank you for all the work you did making this. It's really appreciated!
My pleasure, superchimp! Glad to help fellow gamers in preserving so many great titles and DLCs! Will keep working on this series!
DoA Dimension had a cosmetic DLC distributed via spotpass from some nintendo event (i think?). Impossible to get now, but still wanted to mention it
Some people show all the cosmetic DLC stuff in their game at youtube. It would be nice if someone would share the save file ... 😅
Hey there. Thanks for the great video. What game do you have at the start that has the sword fight with the girl with the pink star theme? Thanks.
Hey Jamesman! That's from Sakura Samurai. I covered it here: ruclips.net/video/KcZbG5kmQJo/видео.html Thanks for watching!
Actually I meant the animation after that at 1:43 which has the pirate theme and she has a pink star on her shirt? I should have been more specific sorry. @@FromTheVoidGames
@@MultiJamesman I see, my bad. That one is the DLC for Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Dual Destinies.
That's very interesting. Thanks again for being so helpful. @@FromTheVoidGames
What a great work! Thanks a lot for your collection.
Unbelievably well made video! THANK YOU THANK YOU 🙏🏻 for this video! You’re helping me so much!
Life saving information! Thank you!!
Layton Daily Puzzles can be downloaded at any time. You might have to save & exit after the intro but that's it.
I don't remember why they did it exactly.
i can not download the devil survivor 2 SPOTPASS dlc , i am not referring to the missions you said in the video but to this free "dlc" via spotpass , by chance do you know if there is a way to be able to download the spotpass dlc? it's not a dlc, it's more an update
i am referring to fusion pack 1 for devil survivor 2 recordbreaker , sorry for my bad language i am italian
One thing I don't see mentioned is new smb 2 for 3ds, it had a couple mission packs including some of the hardest nintendo made levels
Nvm I'm an idiot who didn't see it in the tags
lol, no issues, this is a huge video, easy to miss something even looking for it.
Incredibly helpful video, thank you so much.
Very helpful and just good job👍 Thanks for all movies and take care my gaming Nintendo bro 😁
>You have to finish both Professor Layton miracle mask AND azran legacy to download the free DLC
>I just got my entire Layton collection last weekend
OH SHIX!!!!
Hi Jessie! You may want to do the same thing I suggested to CaptainM in the other comment. Thanks for watching :D
@@FromTheVoidGames thanks for the reply. I will keep that in mind.
I love this kind of detail!
Thanks, Kosteri! Glad you enjoy it! I try including that kind of info in every video I do. Thanks for watching!

Yes! Drag natsume!!
Thank you so much for this very helpful guide.
Is there more DLC in Monster Hunter Stories or can you get all from the DLC menu (+ the two costumes)?
Just a note about Puzzle Dragon Z, for reason the cartridge version crashes with an error seemingly randomly. The Mario Bros version seems to fare better. It might just be a good idea to get it digitally anyway though if you plan to play it in the future
I bought a used copy of Professor Layton Miracle Mask and it has a completed game save data. I was surprised to see all the 365 daily puzzles available to download. So I guess the "dlc" is saved into the cart itself.
Do I need to do the demo playthrough and transfer for Code Name Steam before the eshop closes? Is it not enough to download the demo?
You can do the demo later, just download it before the eshop closes, and play it whenever you want. Thanks for watching Fynriel!
I love Mystery Dungeons games, but the Etrian one is unfortunately not available in my region, which makes me sad af :T
