+Nick McAlpine Until today this video still sends shivers down my spine as we (as clinicians) can so easily relate to it. Great work. I was keen to upload this as a lot of my colleagues were still trying to hunt down the original DVDs!
Wow, always wondered who made this. I use it still for my formal incident investigation training. The attendee's love it. We have a role play the incident with clinical notes / perform interviews (with actors) then watch the video.
As a Med Student I have seen this Video Like 20 times. I even taught my brother that Vincristine SHOULD never be applied inthratecally. Now that I am student Leukemia and Lymphoma I am beginning to understand how critical is to understand the Chemo regimen
last year one of my family members received vincristin intrathecal it was very lethal and it happened in a similar setting as this one. Some mistakes are made and the irrevocable error happened.
Today in Med school I learned when is Vincristine and Methrotexate given and to be fair I am quite surprised how easy is to mix this two medicines. At least they only taught me to administer Methrotexate via Intrathecal and all other Chemotherapy agents by vein
Be real... Pharmacists that over rule MD's won't be working there for long. The Dr says that the reason for breaking protocol was for the patient's busy schedule. Is that reason to break protocol ? The MD will break protocol yet the staff, nurses and pharmacists, will be the ones to emphasize the rules, get overridden, and left holding the proverbial bag.
As the producer of this film, great to hear it's still out there and proving useful nearly fifteen years on! We should make some more ...

We had this video shown to us during a seminar in our interprofessional education class, definitely gave all the students something to think about!
Being used at Keele University this very day. Thanks!
We used it today

Watched this a few times, and it still sends shivers down my spine.
Still compelling viewing today and should be made compulsory for all medical staff

Hi, why shouldn’t it ?
Classic Film for Medical Professionals.
This is so scary! I am a healthcare professional... this is the stuff nightmares are made of!

I would like to touch base with you regarding this. I am a practicing pharmacist in the US
