Hi, Elgin! Thank you for posting this video. As an Odette player, it is come to my attention that despite her buff, Odette still a rarely pick mage due to her skill set. She is more like a 'Frontline Mage', who thrives to attack everything under her domain when she is channeling her ultimate. I know that for most mages player, playing at a safe distance while casting skill are a preferable type of playstyle. But remembering how Odette's ultimate are a channeling skill towards her surrounding, she cannot be a perfect backliner, even though she has a potential. But furthermore, for those who wanted to master her, there is some tips regarding for her skill that maybe missed out. Lakeshore Ambiance (Passive) Tip A => Her passive is a damage boster, which similar to hanabi's basic attack, can hit five times. The damage might be a little, but if combine with poking item like Glowing Wand, Necklace of Durance, and Genius Wand, the hit will deal a steady damage, yet the item's effect can reach the backline by bouncing between each hero enemies, minions, or creep. Playing as a poker with cooldown item can significantly increase her poke ability because her passive will trigger more often due to short cooldown of your skills. Tip B => Prioritize the stack! Her passive stack last only 8 second, and the best way to stack is use her first skill (Avian Authority) to stack it up to three. Make sure you have stacks before joining a war or a battle. Tip C => Don't rely too much on combo to trigger her passive if you have a bad aiming skill! Her passive enhance her basic atack range slightly, so use the basic attack button and attack like a marksman, before jumping inside the war with your ultimate. Tip D => If you notice it, Odette's basic attack speed when you have full three stack of passive in late game slightly increase. It didn't show on the status of your hero, but it did when you use your basic attack to cast it all out. Use minion and creep to act as a bridge so your basic attack using her passive can reach the bckline even faster! Avian Authority (1st Skill) Tip E => Use this skill to stack your passive, but dont hit anything else with it. If you did, the passive will get triggered automatically and you will lose a stack. Tip F => If you have multiple stack of passive, aim this skill to hit atleast two enemies. If you have the maximum three stacks, her passive can get trigger up to two times if you manage to hit more than one, making you easily use two stacks at once. Tip G => The previous tips can be used when you want to immediately annihilating two enemies that are close to one another. Using full stack of passive, aim her first skill to hit the two enemies and immediately ultimate them. This will make the passive will react faster and bounce between them more efficiently, so the enemies have less time to react when your passive already outburst them first till their HP reach zero. Blue Nova (2nd Skill) Tip H => The second ball will prioritize enemy heroes, so to chase a hero, hit her skill towards the nearby creep of the enemy hero, so the split ball will autolock the enemy hero. Tip I => Her wide range in second skill can be usefull in certain situations. It will be easy to aim and hit an enemy with her split ball or direct aim towards a target. In other situations, her wide range can be a problem if you ended up hittting other thing at the first cast, and the split ball autolock the wrong target. Because her second skill is an object that will stop moving forward when hiting any object like Luo Yi's first skill, aim her second skill with a perfect calculation, so her skil wont be a waste. This is important since her second skill has a long cooldown for a CC skill that can only immobilize, and not stun. Tip J => The split ball's prioritozed hero target not always depending on the setting of your skill button. If you prioritized hitting enemies with the lowest hp, between two or three nearby heroes, the split ball can have a chance to target the enemy with the lowest hp, but this is still under my testings. Swan Song (Ultimate) Tip K => TIMING IS KEY! PATIENCE IS VIRTUE! Don't rush on and immediately press the Ultimate button. Remember certain condition can judge your effectiveness about your choice in proceeding to ult. Here are some things you need to consider: Condition on enemy's side 1. Enemy have a high CC skill and has not using it yet (You can be a target lock! be careful!) 2a. Heroes with dashing skills (Beware of those heroes, and especially assassins, or else they might outburst you first hand and kill you the first second you use your ultimate! 2b. Heroes with dashing skills (Beware of those heroes cause they can escape outside of your ultimate area, making your skill go to waste.) 3. Heroes with CC immunity spell or skill (Your nd skill attempt to lock them might get purified and dthey will run outside your ultimate.) 4. Heroes with high movement speed (Odette no longer have her slow effect on her ultimate, so be wary or else they will escape easily) 5. Heroes with HP Regen / Shield / Damage immunity / Damage reduction skill or spell (Make sure to burst them fast enough with your ulti firstly before they could even react or wait patiently until their skill has been used and the effect are wore off before you use your ultimate to maximize your damage.) 6. Enemy's position (If they are too scatter around, think before ultimate, if you can kill them easily or not, cause you will have a hard time in burst them down since your passive can't bounce fast or even can't bounce at all if they are have a distant between one another. If they are close to one another, it is better so your passive can work faster in eliminate those enemies since your passive will prioritize them with closer distance...) Condition in your side : 1. Teammates is not there yet and no one can cover you right now (Don't RUSH! Odette is no longer the old one, and you only have a shield that can shatter easily by marksmans, so don't jump solo and use your ultimate while you're alone facing many enemies UNLESS you have a good amount of spell vamp like 20 % and your DPS is higher than the enemy's damage, and also their high cc skills are in cooldown.) 2. Teammates with combo skill that can tank you, or provide you shield, CC imunity, HP healing, shiled, or extra skill (The more, the merrier! If they engage and provide you some support, immediately think about your position to strike and stike at the enemies's most fatal and weakest point in the battlefield while they're tanking you by receiving damage and CC skill.) A quick summary: Make sure to stack up her passive (by using her first skill on the air) to increase damage, and if the enemy is alone try to get closer to maximize her passive (this only recommended if they cannot disrupt and its safe for you gank) Most importantly pick her when the enemy dont have knockup, supress, or heavy cc skills.
Heavy CC skills cannot disrupt her ult if I am not mistaken. Not all knock up can disrupt her. Maybe I was wrong, I tried Tigreal knock-up, it doesn't work to disrupt her ult. Perhaps I missed her, because Tigreal's 2nd skill range got nerfed.

She literally the best mage against assasins. And actually a very good pick in gold lane which most people doesn't try,better than Harith i will say because literally no mm can counter her (except Lesley but she can kill her before she cancels ult) But yeah most people doesn't take advantage of her passive,she doesn't even need to cast ulti if her passive is stack for squishy heroes
That's interesting but I think she is better as a mid laner bcz once she reaches lv4 she can do good in team fights (bcz of her ult)and she doesn't need some items to snowball in the early game unlike harith when he needs items to get his 30CDR and also she kinda slow at pushing
Odette does not need to be a gold laner because unlike Harith, she does not need fast gold for items. Plus, picking Odette as a gold laner means that your team won't have a ranged hero that can quickly push objectives
Odette is my main hero and i have 200+ matches with 68% wr. There's some of my tip, I dont use flicker, i use petrify or purify depending on the enemies. Always jump aside enemies if they're alone so u can burst them easily. Always observe before using ur utilities, means look if they're piling up so ur passive can quickly bounce in them. Be sneaky play her like an assassin like ling and enter teamfight if the enemies use all their abilities. Here the build i use Magic shoes, genius wand, glowing wand, lightning truncheon, ice queen wand, devine glaive. Hope it helps
Bro if u look at the video carefully, his teammates already lowered the hp of some heroes so he wont need to use first skill and second skill first or he had enough stacks of passive to kill enemies without needing first skill or second skill
Not much people realize her potential. I’ve been playing her before her revamp. Her damage is nuts and she’s quite easy to master. You just have to be conscious of enemy’s cc skills. She could also shred tanky heroes once equipped with Glowing Wand. Edit: Not Elgin using AI voice to roast every heroes lol
It's just that many mage players don't have the preference or maybe even courage to play a straightforwarded mage like her .. just like elgin said People prefer mages who stay at the back
I think it has something to do with the playstyles. Odette and Harith are all about diving, while other typical mages, in which majority of them are Vex, Xavier, Nova and Aurora, most of them preferred that playstyle of being always on the backline.
Same ,I used to play her with 3-4 knocks up,it's all about timing,forever she can burst opponent before they cancel her ulti. She always be my secret gem.
I usually don’t play her because she’s too easy and straight forward to play like Eudora. I like mages who are more complicated as they are more fun to play like yve, Valentina, Harith.

I build manaboots for her instead of the magic pen because I can stack my passive without caring my mana depleting or sometimes I use basic common emblem

I'm a solo player maintaining my 67% wr on Odette even on Mythical Glory. One thing I realized is that she's totally useless after her ult, which is really bad if your items are for burst and not all of the enemy were really killed. Burst items is good if you have a good team composition and you're on a trio or 5man as you can plan out and setup a clash well. But in my case as a solo player, I'll have to consider my situations in using her especially that my teammates won't always cooperate with me. So I made my own item set which focuses on cdr and her ult reset. It might sound that it doesn't really deal enough damage, but her passive stack + her ult overall damage sums it all up even on late game. It is effective especially when you want to use your ult often(which is really impactful especially in prolonged teamfights or consecutive clashes). Because most of the time, you'll have to consider using it before you dive-in as you'll be rendered useless after your ult. But then, if you have full cdr + ult cd reduc from fleeting time, you can use it even if there is just 1 enemy to kill since it will be a lot of help in reset your ult up most of the time.
As an Odette user is rank she is very good for teamfight and 1v1 battles since her passive can bounce on her. I recommend building genius wand as first item and glowing wand for second since it got buffed

Thank you for putting Odette in the spotlight, Elgin! ❤ But i disagree about checking the enemy line up before using her. Instead, check your own team's line up. She needs a good front and protection. Even if there are enemies who can cancel her ultimate, it doesnt matter! Odette users should know by now that it is the passive that is killer. In late game w full dmg item, 2-3 passive bounces alone can already kill enemies. 😅 I love those voicelines by the way! Nice one!
I got two maniacs in one ranked game using her. She’s AMAZING when, like Elgin said, left un-countered. And if you know how to properly rotate with mid-laners or mages. Tip: Hide first in the bushes during the first wave of minions / start of the game. That’s where others usually hide! If Cecillion is on the enemy’s team and you are ambushed with the tank during early game, consider yourself defeated!

The reason why she is actually not so high in winrate despite of her killer skills is because out of all the heroes, in teamfights enemies tend to target her since she has high damage and area damage which makes her an easy target to enemies
I usually use purify despite the CC immune buff. It's better than nothing, honestly. Short tip stacking her passive, especially during the early game. So, you can easily clear the wave much faster.
I'm an odette main and I'm sometimes picked on by other players saying I don't use a mainstream strong mage~ but i don't bat an eye and just show them how it's done~ it's really fun to use odette especially if you have a trustworthy Tank/Support. and yes, I always check for the heroes of the opposing team and make sure none of them can really disrupt my ultimate

I have 1.2k matches and a 60% winrate with Odette, I've been using her ever since she was released. She's only gotten better with the years, i really really love her. I usually like to poke the enemies by having 3 stacks od passive ready, then using second skill>first skill>basic attacks. For the ultimate, remember to be aware of who has used which skills so that they will not disrupt you, and you can easily reposition with the dash or flicker if needed. Tbh I still use her against high cc comps and unless the enemy is dominating I usually win. Idk I just like her a lot haha
I main odette since the day she was released. I really miss her really wide ult range and dmg reduction but in current meta where mobility is essential where she fall behind. I just hope they bring back her dmg reduction on her ult.
I have odette with over 1k matches a win rate of 71% in mythic. I personally think odette is the best champ to climb with. A lot of people underestimate odette. And I personally like to keep it that way. Knock up and huge high cc team is not an issue for my odette. Odette user should not really depend on her ult. It’s not her main source of damage .
Odette can be a game changer, I use her in glory 60+ stars. Just like Alucard when enemy team doesn’t have knock up cc’s like Minotaur for eg then the other stun cc’s without knocking up is useless against odette.
I've been using her even before the revamp and she's not entirely niche. I don't know, it could just be me who's extremely used to close-range mages and knows when to engage to the point that I prefer using aegis over flicker. But she's not that bad once you develop a good gamesense! In fact, she could be played to poke by making use of minions to bounce her passive. Also, when dealing with heavy cc enemies, make sure to have purify and time it correctly to be safe from their attempts to cancel. Because of my playstyle, I had to make sure she had sufficient spellvamp otherwise the close-range no-flicker gameplay is not gonna work.
Odette mage is scariest in the mid lane if you don't lock it from the start of the game and she's full of items it's hard to counter her burst dmg even if you use magic defense items
Well Odette's always been popular in MLBB for years because of her High Crowd Control skills, High burst Damage and Survivability is what makes her stand out in the land of Dawn. Her skills hit multiple enemies at once.
I'm main odette with 1300 matches and 60 % winrate. Although she's not the perfect mage for all season, if you learn how to position during clash and when is the best time to use her ult, stun and passive, your good.
It's the new Glowing Wand, that's her priority item. As you can see Elgin went for glorious wand instead of Glowing Wand that's why her damage is way off.
See with me since Odette is my main hero I've learned to use purify with her to deal with the other CCs she can't handle and it works wonders but it's also cause my build is dmg and sustain

She literally the best mage against assasins. And actually a very good pick in gold lane which most people doesn't try,better than Harith i will say because literally no mm can counter her (except Lesley but she can kill her before she cancels ult)

Odette is my main hero and i have 200+ matches with 68% wr. There's some of my tip, I dont use flicker, i use petrify or purify depending on the enemies. Always jump aside enemies if they're alone so u can burst them easily. Always observe before using ur utilities, means look if they're piling up so ur passive can quickly bounce in them. Be sneaky play her like an assassin like ling and enter teamfight if the enemies use all their abilities. Here the build i use Magic shoes, genius wand, glowing wand, lightning truncheon, ice queen wand, devine glaive. Hope it helps

Not much people realize her potential. I’ve been playing her before her revamp. Her damage is nuts and she’s quite easy to master. You just have to be conscious of enemy’s cc skills. She could also shred tanky heroes once equipped with Glowing Wand.

Odette and Harith are all about diving, while other typical mages, in which majority of them are Vex, Xavier, Nova and Aurora, most of them preferred that playstyle of being always on the backline.

I build manaboots for her instead of the magic pen because I can stack my passive without caring my mana depleting or sometimes I use basic common emblem

I'm a solo player maintaining my 67% wr on Odette even on Mythical Glory. One thing I realized is that she's totally useless after her ult, which is really bad if your items are for burst and not all of the enemy were really killed. Burst items is good if you have a good team composition and you're on a trio or 5man as you can plan out and setup a clash well. But in my case as a solo player, I'll have to consider my situations in using her especially that my teammates won't always cooperate with me.
So I made my own item set which focuses on cdr and her ult reset. It might sound that it doesn't really deal enough damage, but her passive stack + her ult overall damage sums it all up even on late game.
It is effective especially when you want to use your ult often(which is really impactful especially in prolonged teamfights or consecutive clashes). Because most of the time, you'll have to consider using it before you dive-in as you'll be rendered useless after your ult. But then, if you have full cdr + ult cd reduc from fleeting time, you can use it even if there is just 1 enemy to kill since it will be a lot of help in reset your ult up most of the time.
As an Odette user is rank she is very good for teamfight and 1v1 battles since her passive can bounce on her. I recommend building genius wand as first item and glowing wand for second since it got buffed

She needs a good front and protection. Even if there are enemies who can cancel her ultimate, it doesnt matter! Odette users should know by now that it is the passive that is killer. In late game w full dmg item, 2-3 passive bounces alone can already kill enemies. 😅 I love those voicelines by the way! Nice one!

I have 1.2k matches and a 60% winrate with Odette, I've been using her ever since she was released. She's only gotten better with the years, i really really love her. I usually like to poke the enemies by having 3 stacks od passive ready, then using second skill>first skill>basic attacks. For the ultimate, remember to be aware of who has used which skills so that they will not disrupt you, and you can easily reposition with the dash or flicker if needed. Tbh I still use her against high cc comps and unless the enemy is dominating I usually win. Idk I just like her a lot haha
I main odette since the day she was released. I really miss her really wide ult range and dmg reduction but in current meta where mobility is essential where she fall behind. I just hope they bring back her dmg reduction on her ult.

I have odette with over 1k matches a win rate of 71% in mythic. I personally think odette is the best champ to climb with. A lot of people underestimate odette. And I personally like to keep it that way. Knock up and huge high cc team is not an issue for my odette. Odette user should not really depend on her ult. It’s not her main source of damage .

Just like Alucard when enemy team doesn’t have knock up cc’s like Minotaur for eg then the other stun cc’s without knocking up is useless against odette.

I've been using her even before the revamp and she's not entirely niche. I don't know, it could just be me who's extremely used to close-range mages and knows when to engage to the point that I prefer using aegis over flicker. But she's not that bad once you develop a good gamesense! In fact, she could be played to poke by making use of minions to bounce her passive. Also, when dealing with heavy cc enemies, make sure to have purify and time it correctly to be safe from their attempts to cancel. Because of my playstyle, I had to make sure she had sufficient spellvamp otherwise the close-range no-flicker gameplay is not gonna work.
Odette mage is scariest in the mid lane if you don't lock it from the start of the game and she's full of items it's hard to counter her burst dmg even if you use magic defense items

I'm main odette with 1300 matches and 60 % winrate. Although she's not the perfect mage for all season, if you learn how to position during clash and when is the best time to use her ult, stun and passive, your good.
