I have the trigger IN on my Topping L70 (same function) connected to the 12V DV supply in my system so that it turns on when I power that supply on. Good point. But the negative comes from making it tougher for a newcomer. For someone more advanced as yourself, it's a plus. Like using your phone to crop a picture. Sure photoshop has more features, but isn't the best for a beginner, that's all I was saying. A lot of people get worried about thumps when they turn their preamp on after their power amp. Overall. I love the product.
Makes sense! I agree that one more hole adds some complexity. But it also adds flexibility. I'm sure that there's plenty to live about it. I have an L70 and it's in use in my system as both a preamp a d headphone amp. Absolutely love it.

I have a modius e dac already but want this amp would that be a good pairing don’t want to buy another dac even tho there’s probably better out there
This HPA is super transparent so really goes with any DAC. If you like the sound of your Modius E, go for it. It's going to give you that sound. 👍
