- This is a Fisher&Paykel DEIX2 Intuitive Series TOP LOADING dryer. Since it's a pain to see how the inner door works as this will lock the lid before tumbling, I'll give you a quick 'look under the hood' to show the drum door closing and opening...
I've had a machine like this for nearly 10 years. It has worked without fail, and I do at least one load of laundry a day, but usually multiple loads. It just now needs a new drum bearing and drum belt, which is expected for a machine of its age. Love that we can buy the parts online and fix it ourselves. They are very easy to work on. I will keep this machine running as long as I can get parts. I love that it's a top load, and Fisher and Paykel no longer makes the top load models. We have the matching washer as well. Just replaced the drain pump and the control panel ourselves and saved about $500 over having a repair guy come out. Best machines ever.
I've had one of these 6 years and I love it! I have a bad back and front loading dryers are wrongly designed on so many levels that I nearly cried the first time I used this one. Even when my back is very sore, I can at least support my weight on the edge of the machine while getting the clothes out, but since I got this dryer my back pain has been cut in half. I also like that it doesn't just turn in one direction so your clothes don't get wrapped all together in a knot.
That is the COOLEST dryer ever!
First time I ever saw one of these. Very cool.
Motor starting sound like a subway train😂
That's a cool dryer. :D
The LED'S appear to flicker because of the 50/60HZ wave frequency AC.
Great video.
My local scrap yard is getting a bunch of washers and dryers on friday. I might find one of these :)
Thank you! That was pretty cool!
Cool. I saw one of these for sale at Lowe's.
Had it ...Loved it! Where can I buy it now???
Dryer that sounds like a jet engine, yes...
Very cool!
It's interesting, but I still prefer traditional ones, I mean front-loading dryers
John AK72 ....
I plan on getting this model dryer. how has it been.
I am working on one of these tomorrow, I feel like calling in sick.
These are NIGHTMARES to work on and discontinued since
Yeah, this design has two bearings instead of usual one - so it's far more reliable
P.S. thanks for sharing this
WANT!
You look like Mia Kalifa
Why would they make this design? Perplexing.
Quiet little hummer.

Does have a transmission??

This has been the worst dryer we've ever owned! Constantly breaking down, constantly needs service. Loves to say "can not lock the drum" and not work half the time. ATM it's emitting a high pitch speaking noise again. Just waiting for it to break down to call the service guy again. DO NOT BUY!
