Dune: Part 2 has break the curse, it did what no modern movie or series should have done, it elevated its source material and surprisingly it was a very different take on its original source material yet it works.
Not really. The source material is still better and it makes sense because it's longer giving the story and characters much more time to be properly fleshed out. Dune Part 2 is amazing but it could've been even better if they didn't omit the 2 year time jump and undersold the involvement of Mentats and the Spacing Guild in the story. Not to even mention the over the top ending of the movie. An extended cut will mitigate elevate the movie by mitigating these issues to an extent but the movie will still not be as good as the book. That's just the curse of adaptations though. Most of them can never be as good as their source material. Not even the Lord of the Rings managed to do that.
Words are less to describe What the cast and crew have managed to bring forth on screen.
All I can say is 'May thy knife chip and shatter'

Dune is my generation Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. My biggest regret is that I couldn’t get to witness in IMAX, my city doesn’t have IMAX but still i experienced true cinema, everything about it. Can’t wait for Dune: Messiah/3

Awesome movie man. As in history. People always believed, especially suppressed one or victims always made a central belief of a saviour, some one who saves them. Coz saviour represents thier hope. They marketed that hope as religion. I love the way creator of dune potrayed political shades of a religion. Protogonist isnt powerful coz he is a saviour, he is powerful becoz he tailors into a role of saviour. Its shown clearly . His journey starts from revenge rather than a concern for arrakis

I feel very lucky to be amongst a few people who watched this movie in theatre. You can't describe this movie in words. I have goosbumps in so many scenes. I will watch this movie for the second time in IMAX. I can't miss this once in a lifetime experience.

i haven’t seen the part 2 yet but i love dune (novel) series and i’m glad to see it was done perfectly (so far). this kind of movie interest me more coz i wanna see if imagination is better than then movie and what changes will happen. all in all dune is not for all but i still gonna recommend everyone to watch in as big screen as possible.

In the Fremen messianic legend, 'The One Who Will Lead Us to Paradise;'" applied to Paul Atreides by the Fremen when they determine that he is their messiah. The term Mahdi is the same as that used in Islam for a messianic figure who will appear shortly before the Day of Judgment in Islamic eschatology.

and many more Islamic culture things in the book even the writer admit the influence of Islam in dune universe

I had watch this yesterday 1st day 1st show, It's a MASTERPIECE but one thing I didn't understand..If Paul reveal, the emperor's connection with attack on house Atreides infront of the great houses then they'll support him why wage a war..?
Watched it in IMAX and I can definitely say that it was the best cinema experience I have had in my life. From the cinematography and the sound design to the acting performances, everything about this movie was perfect. The only thing I disliked about the first part was the pacing of the movie, which they perfected in the sequel.
I watch a lot of movies in theaters, but it was the first time I have seen the audience actually stand up and applaud the movie at the credits roll.
With the filmography Denis Villeneuve is building, he is for sure one of the greatest directors of all time.
Watched it in IMAX screen... Trust me.. this is Real Cinema.. u should only watch it in the biggg screen... bGM is 🔥🔥🔥🔥.... Must watch movie......💥🎥
