This is absolutely fantastic. Even a novice (non-soccer play) like me understood the breakdown. Hands down one of the best soccer strategy breakdowns I’ve seen. Would love about 10 videos like this. I would pay $ to get this kind of info and share it with my budding soccer player. Great explanation for children!
Unfortunately not right now. They take a long time to make and don’t necessarily get that many views. There’s also copyright issues because UEFA and others like to claim our videos 😡 We’re going to bring it back but probably in a format that’s easier for us to edit. Perhaps later this year.

I know this is late, but actually the first clip the guy was correct with his pass. It is unfortunate that it didnt go through but the pass you suggested was to complicatedas the defense can easily block it and wouldve cut off the runners momentum. The guy shouldve put a bit height and more pace to the through ball.
bale in the second clip made the right descision even if he didnt score.there was a lot of space in front and bale is a prolific shooter.his ability to enter such place and shoot without hesitation makes a good players.same with many strikers

One thing i would suggest is that instead of saying some choices are simply wrong, you would go over the pros and cons of each choice. Because i don't think they made the wrong choice. In the first play, if he passed down the middle like you suggested, he would need to loft the pass a little bit and hit the player making the run at the perfect spot to beat his man. If he lofts the ball up, it would take a split second longer for the player receiving the pass to control it, letting the man behind him catch up and tackle him possibly winning the ball. The play he actually made (assuming the defender didnt block it) would have had the other player receiving the pass on the ground and with proper speed, giving him more space and time to make a play. Theres a lot of gray areas to each choice, and just because a play didn't work out, doesn't mean it was the wrong choice. Thank you :)
