Your a hell of a mechanic and film maker. You, Jen and Gus are a perfect combination. Fast flowing, punchy and perfect. Thank you so much from Rob in the UK.
I quit drugs about 24 years ago and I said I'd never get addicted to anything I lied. I can't stop watching you man. It's 3:00 right now in the morning a.m. and I'm sleepy, but I don't want. I want to watch the next one and the next one and the next one you know I like it. Don't ever stop. I'm learning a lot about mechanic and by watching you also. Thank you man. Thank you
This concept of "Will it Run" combined with sight seeing/camping is absolutely brilliant. Nobody at a TV network would ever say, " Hey let's take an industrious master mechanic, with his Hot chick and loyal canine and put them in a derelict automobile and see if they can make it across the country." I don't watch much of any long format, but I couldn't get enough of your adventure. The things you're willing to take on in a parking lot of a parts store or hotel was really impressive. Keep up the good work. You're an inspiration. BTW, we are headed to Utah this Fall and can't wait to get there.
A couple of other people have mentioned it, but I really like how you have been taking the time to explain how individual parts work, like the fuel pump. No one else really does that. I am a self taught car and small engine nut. I learned everything from RUclips videos and trial and error. I appreciate the in depth explanations. They certainly help a novice like me.
Great video Chris, can't wait to see part 2!! Definitely got balls driving 2500 miles home!! Thanks for all the work you do to make these for your fans!!

I'd say having a Jen with the "it's your rodeo" type of attitude is what makes these adventures worth doing!! She's a keeper fo-sho!! Also love the way you explain how you find and fix problems, and yes, we do get your little comments here and there...hilarious! I'd say this is definitly a formula for success!!

I'm totally being honest. This could've been 10 hours and I would've watched. Excellent presentation and content Chris. Good to see Jen and Gus in more prominent roles also. Fun trip for sure. Blanket be ready this week. For the Gus man.
This video took me back in time. When I was a young and dumb I owned that exact car down to the same color and white vinyl top. But mine had white leather seats.
In 1974, I bought a new red and white Gran Torino Elite just like that one here in Texas. My wife had matching red racing mirrors installed to replace the single chrome mirror. Loved that car!
I was 15 years old and got off the school bus and seen this exact car in my parents driveway. Asked my dad whose car that was. He said yours. It had a 351/400 engine with a rod thru the block. Fast forward 6 months and a whole lot lawn mowing, and it now had a 351W in it from the junkyard. Get it running and needs a top end. Fast forward and a whole lot what ever I could do for money and it is finally running right. Some of my greatest memories are with this car. Still have all scars from the work I did some 40 something years ago. Thanks for making me smile.
Probably my favorite RUclips mechanic. I've been enjoying the diversity from the rocks in your driveway, the snow, the "swamp", the heavy equipment and now the drive it home style! Thank you and the family for great content and keep it coming!
Can't wait to see part 2. I love this content. Love the Grand Torino as well. This has become one of my top five channels. Keep up the great work Chris.

Had to stop and take a look at your video. Went to my prom back in the '70s in my dad's Ford elite light blue white top white interior all electric it was the smoothest ride ever. Brings back memories Thanks man Good luck on your project.
OMG!!!!! This is such a nostalgic moment!!! My parents had a brand new '73 Ford Torino and had it until about '87. I am so proud of yall 4 getting this running and equally as happy for yall!!!!!!!!
I drove the same car In Boston for three years in the 80s and loved it. I had to get a truck for work but I always regretted selling that car. Thanks for the video it brings back a lot of memories.
I could watch 2 hours of this quite easily. Your mechanical knowledge is insane and I'm sort of learning my way around an engine through your videos. Great entertainment, great tutorial and the personal life, vlog stuff rounds your videos off perfectly. I haven't binged on a creators videos like I have on yours for some time. I'm thinking this channel is going to blow up soon. Well earned!
Jen is a trooper, you gotta keeper for sure……my wife would have laughed in my face had I presented her to that automobile, and she’s the ford fan in the family
I put in a RUclips search for the hell of it because I was thinking about the cars I've owned over the years. The '74 Gran Torino Elite is probably my favorite of all. What a great ride, what great memories.
I was able to get one of these back in 1982. Black with a pristine white interior. Had been hit in the right front bumper and his insurance totalled it and let him keep the car. I paid $400 bucks for it and it would have been a sweet first ride for me. THEN, I joined the Army and left the car behind. When I came home, my brother had sold to the junk yard !! Its the ONLY Ford I've ever owned....but never actually drove it. Now I have Cadillac's. Great watching you re-animate this car.
My dream car is a 1972 Gran Torino. I like all the Torinos but I've been in love with the 1972 since I was 8 years old. Can't wait to see where this goes.
I had a red / with black top 72 Torino with a 351 Cobra Jet . Had a factory Holley 4 barrel . No rust but I never got to fix up as I needed the money . Had sidepipes too. I bet it ran like a bat out of hell. Wish I had kept it
@@samuelmorado70 I need to just bite the bullet and buy one but taking the time to go to the southwest to get one is dang near impossible right now and I'm certainly not buying one here in the rust belt. Lol
My first car was a ‘75 Elite in red with the white and black interior. My grandpa left it to me. Garaged it’s whole life. Nicest one I’ve ever seen. Such memories.
Love your videos! Seems nothing you can’t fix. No swearing or unnecessary skin. I’m not a prude but just refreshing to see a channel that is what advertises.
This is probably one of the more bold “will it run?” attempts I’ve ever seen. Excited to follow this one along lol. Editing to say I haven’t watched too many other car will it run channels because this one is great. Only other similar thing I watch is a guy who does this kinda stuff on heavy equipment but the NNKH diesel/heavy equipment vids are definitely a little more fun lol.
My husband bought the 1974 Grand Torino Elite. Red w/White vinal roof, and white upholstery, Split Bench seat. Loved it and drove it across country twice. It was the only care we owned up till then that I could drive all day without back aches and getting tired. It even got good gas milage on the highway.
These are the videos I really like watching especially all the breakdowns and what you do to fix them. I definitely don't mind watching the longer videos to me I'd rather watch stuff like this than watching a movie
I have always dreamed of flying somewhere and buying a cheap car and driving it home. Maybe one day. Awesome job getting the old Ford back on the road.
In 1991 I was stationed at Mare Island near Vallejo, CA. Bought a 75 Torino and drove it for months. Sold it to another sailor who then drove it from Northern CA to NYC. Said all he did was replace the fuel filter. The reason I first bought it was a good friend got a 74 Gran Torino Elite upon graduating. Deep maroon with crushed velvet interior, lighted vanity mirrors on the visor; it had ALL the luxuries! We called it his "Pimpmobile!"
This was a really fun video I could have watched even more footage! Great idea to keep these going. The revival and drive thousands of miles home is always so fun.
The ‘60s & ‘70s was my era for working on cars; I,too, one time or another had done everything thing that he had to do to get and keep that car running. The expertise by such a young man just blows me away regarding his knowledge of old school technology trouble shooting and repair.!

Are you at all related to MacGyver??!!! I'm in awe at how efficient and practical your repairs and diagnostics are. Very enjoyable. Gus steals the show!! 😊
The door lock probably *does* work. On those old car doors, you had to hold *up* on the exterior door handle (as if you were OPENING THE DOOR) as you close it. Don't let go of the handle until after the door is completely closed. This was to prevent people from accidentally locking their car door when they didn't want to. Try it my way, and get back to us. : )
Back in the early 80's a friend of mine had the convertible incarnation of this car, it was clean and cared for, this car is in great shape and if you really like it you should definitely consider keeping it
I was just 11 in 1980, wish I could go back and experience it all over again. My older brother had a '78 camaro, he used to do burnouts in the driveway and our father came out and smacked him upside his head. It was funny.
Totally envious of the fun of your great Ford video, I once own 1975 mercury monarch, 302. My father is a retired Ford tech, his hey day was 1960's and 1970's Ford into the 80's. He often said the Elites were great car's, have great week, blessings from 🇨🇦.
I like it , its cool and in great shape still ! Sounds amazing ! My moms friend had the four door model. It was a nice car and ran fine until one day it lost "Drive" in the transmission. She drove it for years in 2nd gear @ 35 mph ! lol
The video was great Chris. Ton of fun to see you guys changing it up a bit and heading out west, rehabbing and driving home. All the videos are great but this one was particularly fun. Keep up the great content!
I had a 70 with a 351C in it and it was one of the baddest rides I ever had. Was a killer runner, and for as many go fast goodies it had I gotten decent fuel mileage as long as you can keep it around 55-60 miles an hour on the interstate. All depends on the rear end gear you have in the car. I will be enjoying your getting it running.
Thanks for the info. My older brother had one years ago, not sure what ever happened to it. Jen & Gus were a good sport about everything! Big props to her!
Awesome video and like others said if it was 10 hours i would have watched. Looked like a blast all the way through. Hope to keep seeing more of your awesome content and of course Jen and Gus as well. Yall rock!
Great video. My brother bought this same exact model as his first car back in 1982. The motor was bad, so we tore it down and rebuilt it and it lasted about another 5 years before it was made into a hobby stock. It is nice to see there are still a few of these around and good to see one is being put back on the road. I'll be back to see the next video to see if the car (and your hot sister) make it home.

Cool to see young people doing stuff that makes life interesting. My wife and I did a similar trip right out of school then repeated with the kids 17 year later. Hard work. Good for you.
Hell yeah! Do more will it runs where you fly out and drive back. That would be cool!
I had a 76 Torino Elite. I loved that thing. Mine had a 351/400 modified in blue. OMG I wish I had that back. Great video.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours so far! I'm pumped for part 2! To see the holey goat on your channel is gonna be cool! Love what your doing. Cant wait to see more like this!

Are you at all related to MacGyver??!!! I'm in awe at how efficient and practical your repairs and diagnostics are. Very enjoyable. Gus steals the show!! 😊
Thats a Starsky and Hutch special there! Nice find!
The first car I bought for myself as a 16 year old was the 1974 Gran Torino Elite. Loved that car! So fun to drive. My car was brown with a tan roof.
This cool how you fix then drive down the road check things out. Easy fixs your so lucky she didnt break down completely.Your puppy is so cute.😊❤
She drove it for years in 2nd gear @ 35 mph ! lol
I liked this video and would like to see more of this style. Jen is a special girl to be up for this vacation and be so enthusiastic.
The video was great Chris. Ton of fun to see you guys changing it up a bit and heading out west, rehabbing and driving home. All the videos are great but this one was particularly fun. Keep up the great content!
Chris, I enjoyed watching this. From beginning to the end. Cool. Keep it up you and Jen.
HAD A 70 302 I COULD TURN CORNERS ON A DIME ..NO ONE WANTED IN THE CAR WITH ME..
That 351cleveland was a very fast engine. Exceptionally good engine too. I had one in a 71 Torino GT.
Thanks for the info. My older brother had one years ago, not sure what ever happened to it. Jen & Gus were a good sport about everything! Big props to her!
Great video Chris, love the format, love that you brought Jen and the pup along. I'm looking forward to part 2!
Chris, Jen, and guss aswome informative video and great scenery. I like the funny when you picked up candy. 🍬 thank you and keep driving.
Dude, you're a legend! Grew up in PA and would love to do a similar challenge. Keep up the great work!
When you first start these cars up I get goose bumps!
Awesome vid man this is a adventure everyone should experience! Excited for part 2!
The real miracle is Jen's patience dealing with that old rusty Ford. Women like that are hard to find. Lucky man.
Awesome video and like others said if it was 10 hours i would have watched. Looked like a blast all the way through. Hope to keep seeing more of your awesome content and of course Jen and Gus as well. Yall rock!
This guy totally rocks! You don't see many old School mechanics, that wrench on old cars anymore. Great rescue. 👍
Jen is such “A Ray Of Sunshine”!
