As of today, the easiest way to sort your haul is to build a bunch of boxes (Thatch, then Small Wooden, then once you've found a place you want to stick around for a while, you can invest in a whole separate building/area with Wood Crates - then when you open them while empty, you can decide what can/cannot go in each crate, and there are now two buttons that you can block Tribe from Adding or Taking from that bin, as well. So you come back to camp with a massive haul, walk past each bin, E, G, Tab, E, G, Tab E, G, Tab. etc. That will put whatever belongs in that bin, in it.
I agree 100%. Its def a clone, but it seems to pickup on things conana should have. I hope they continue to do this. As i love coana, its doesn't love me back and its a very toxic relationship. Plus the amazon Theme is amazing and I'm deeply in love with it.

Saw this with you on Neebs, am genuinely excited to play this game. I love games like Factorio, Rimworld, and Dwarf Fortress, so seeing these mechanics move to the 3d is mindblowing for me, plus it has MULTIPLAYER!?! I'm so in!
Just started playing Soulmask this past Friday and I'm up to 40 hours. Thank you for this video, I had some tribesmen automated but see I can set tasks up for intervals of hours, wow! It was a bit annoying to see they completed the task before, and now I see that I can have them repeat it, often! Also, didn't know we could set the priority for tasks to be done, that they take food from the dining table, they've been taking different foods from a food box I have. Also the well will come in handy, didn't think I needed it since I was near water. Go figure. lol
Just make 2 tool chests and fill them with starter stone tools that cost next to nothing to make. Then select the discard broken tool option in the work menu and refill the tool box once a day. This keep them working as well as level your tool making so you will make better quality tools.
17:53 - You need the Granary to do this. You don't get the Granary until 25, but you unlock the farm MUCH earlier than that - you've gotta do it by hand for a while.
It would be nice if you could set collection quotas so your tribesmen would collect what's low and go on break without you needing to micromanage the starting and stopping of work orders. It wouldn't be as much of an issue if this process was a little bit more streamlined. I think I've gotten spoiled by Bellwright which gives you the ability to set top-off orders for each item.
awesome game and automation system ( probly best i've seen to date ) the only thing i would comment on is i wish they would set the amount when you setting to craft something same if you press F ( craft all ) with pressing D ( quest craft ) , because when pressing quest craft you need to calculate how much can you craft with the mats you have , if that makes any sense :). other than that i think this game is really good and i cant wait for the ea release . oh and thanks for all the great videos you pump out , keep up the great work you do
Great video. I spent a lot of time exploring the automation mechanics. Is there a way to extend how far a tribesman will go to collect resources? I don't have clay near my base, but I have a marker for some. Do I need to build a 2nd camp, or is there a way to make them walk further?
My tribesmen are so dumb and they're so hard to control. They constantly get stuck, appointing them to stations never seems to work. I have to manually control them and sit there for 10 mins at each station to complete what I'm trying to do.
Unfortunately, one of the most important topics is missing and I'm looking for solutions. It's the excess. For example, I need poisonous beetles, so an NPC has to go and harvest them, but the box is then very quickly full of fibers etc. So I have four boxes for plants. But they still fill up very quickly. The NPC's inventory is then full and too heavy and he stops collecting. The only solution is that I manually throw away the contents of the boxes. Is there no solution to tell an NPC to collect beetles, but not fibers??
i have a miner that keeps running back and forth over my farms. if i change tribesman he does the same running back and forth. maybe there's a rock hidden under my farms they're trying to reach?😅
Can u do a guide on MOOD? I am having a chain reaction of depression! I have dinning table, chairs and lots of foods. Juice and working on fruit wine now seems to be helping but i would like to have them happy not just not depressed!!!
Im sure you learned by now that you were worng about the toll part lol you can 100% fully auto the game if you have the lv and building set up. Tools/food/gear/weapens/fixing builds/farming/breeding EVERYTHING can be automatied in SM

Would be great if tribespeople could craft the previous steps of queued things too, like yarn for cotton, without you having to do the math. Also I would like it if craft stations check chest around you and not just your inventory
doesnt matter just tell them to discard broke tools and have someone keep a supply of 3 or tools in the tool chest. they will grab a new one when the old one breaks.
No one has made a video on RUclips that shows you going up to a NPC getting down to 10%, then pressing E to tame it. then carry back to your house and show what you need to do to get them back to health and wake up so they can serve you. I have taken a few Npcs back to my base, they get to full hp, don't wake up. Then they die usually of dehydration or something else. Now because this game comes out with NO HELP at all, i have no idea on what i am doing wrong. Can you make a quick video on this please, it might help a lot of people out.
Looks like you can just have your gathering Tribes folks drop broken tools and they'll pick up new ones from a crafting bench. I guess it's ok since tools and weapons lose durability after each repair but I'd like to be able to at least get them to deposit them into a deconstruction bench or just dismantle them and take the raw mats back to the appropriate chests. That said, Automation works pretty great though so far otherwise and its something I really wish Conan Exiles would of done. The only issue I have otherwise is the animal pens seem a bit wonky. My animal pen tender wont put feed into the trough or water them. But they do slaughter them so thats something
I'm only about 16 hours in so a bunch of this is beyond my current abilities. One thing I have noticed though, by automating certain things my proficiency hasn't grown. There are benches I can't build yet because none of the tribe has a proficiency high enough (in one case) in stone and wood. Of course as it's a brand new game, and nothing is figured out yet that is intended to be an observation, not a complaint.
When a NPC tribe member does crafting. You get 1 mask xp per. Indicated at bottom left hand screen. Craft the items yourself to get MUCH MORE exp. I personally set my guy to do grinding of aloe to aloe juice for 12 hours. Gained 3 levels overnight.
Or auto craft Wooden Handles in a loop every 30 min or more and auto craft Bone Tools every so minutes and tell them to drop their tools once the durability is worn off. With a Butchers Bench you get tons of Bones and the amount of Durability they have on the Bone Tools it makes getting bone and automate their tools a breeze so they always have tools! Might make a guide on that later, as they work while I sleep even.
Ooh and btw let me not forget being stuck in the little trees so make sure you have an axe with you at all times ;) ,.. still minor bugs here and there but oh well nothing major
This game has clearly superior Ai coding than Conan, enemies know how to run away or sound alarm and captives can automate. All that's left are looks, janky animations and the idle unarm standing is stiff looking.
love the game it's just me but wish it was like Conan with the Wamon chest are "free" cus dam I've come across some npc's that definitely need to be "free"
my dude says the place is too far and it isnt... this system seems terrible in its current state... tried to make a base on the beach too... guess you cant do that if you want everything to work ffs....

You can tell them to keep the tools chest to always have 2-3 axe, pickaxe, etc.

My major gripe is moving base locations. Such a pain in the arse trying to move everything. Thankfully the Alpaca can carry a decent amount of weight.

Great question, am wondering the same. Answered at 10:18! You can create markers on the map and use that as the location when creating a work job.

This is one of my biggest complaints I have to que it up and hope that it's in my storage, I hope they change that.

Feed them broth! Make sure it’s in their inventory then right click it and press use!
sorting through 27 chests for all the locusts to feed to the turkeys is fun after work.
The last two things i came for were auto repair and a auto sorting chest but 😭

That's a circulating queue. Click the cog wheel and pick how often and how much of something you want crafted.
