Naruto Uzumaki yea you’re right, I think it’s just a hopeful investment, risky but could come with high reward. I have many friends who watch every UFC fight they can as well as boxing, but also don’t follow the fighter on social media or don’t even know most of the fighters on most undercards they watch. They just watch out of enjoyment. I doubt Eddie is BANKING on the typical ghost fan, but i know he’s hoping for just a normal boxing fan turnout. I doubt the ppv will hit 1 mill but anything can happen. Definitely an out-of-touch move by Hearn to not include other social media stars on the undercard imo, but I was just explaining why he may have missed the point yknow

Have you ever looked at a world map? Crossing the entirety of england for some event is easy. So more people are likely to show up. England fits in the usa like 100000 times. If I live in Utah, I ain't traveling to the Challenger Games or the Boxing fight. It's too much of a hassle.

It’s ridiculous having the fight at 3AM UK time, it’s gonna lose out on a lot of viewers. I also assume the fight will be on Sky Sports box office too, who normally charge £19.95. Bit pricey for the younger KSI viewers. If a pub is showing the event I’ll probably go and watch it there 🍻

Just as most RUclips fans don't understand boxing. There has to be a cross over. I'm a pretty big RUclips viewer and I'm a hardcore boxing fan. Trust me you'll enjoy this much more, Devin Haney is a future champion and BJS is a three weight champ. They'll be really good fights and then you get the entertainment side with KSI and Logan. Nobody in boxing would let the fight get this far if it was only RUclipsrs.

I just need to restore the balance on a few points made here.
For one Eddie Hearn and DAZN have been very transparent with their expectations in numbers. In Logan Paul’s recent podcast they even said how they would be happy to capture just 5% of the audience from the first event. Which is a significant number!
Secondly, DAZN is pumping money into increasing the subscriptions of it’s platform. So for them this is a massive audience for them to capitalise on.
It’s a numbers game at the end of it.
If you think they're gonna get a good portion of subscriptions out of this you are as stupid as they are when it comes to the social media audience.
In the UK the fight will likely be on the sky channel where you have to pay $20, guaranteed almost no one will pay for it and people will watch it collectively on livestreams for free or irl in pubs or w/e if they have it.
Same with the rest of the world, there'll be millions watching like last year on twitch n RUclips during and after.
And for the US people with potential access to dazn, most viewers still won't sign up just for this fight, whether it be 5% of everyone or not, guaranteed their own stupid business model and it not connecting well with the audience won't make what they paid everyone worth it.
But that's their own fault, at the end of the day we and the fighters don't care, the event will hopefully be fine.
Unless they paid extra money for some dumb shit like trying to script the fight, or if they paid too little money and care for the event itself, but I'm banking on the staples center event being fine.

The 1.5m ppv buys was due to it being access on the youtube platform. they're is so much friction for this fight. uk ppl need to pay for sky. usa, german ppl need to pay on dazn. what about the other big countries. how are they going to watch it. the ppv is probably going to be close to 200-400k. Eddie is not allowing other youtubers to participate. too much dividing of the audiences.

The typical ppv in America cost close to $100 for just one fight night. I’m 100% certain that they will see a significant spike in subscriptions. James Campbell no they can’t upload highlights unless they already made that in the deal between matchroom boxing. Matchroom boxing bought the fight, so they have the rights to footage. But yeah, matchroom boxing could possibly release the fight on their behalf as well.

I'm guessing that firstly, Eddie knows this event won't do great numbers and secondly, KSI and logan were very easy to bully/deceive in contract negotiations so it ultimately became a win win scenario for DAZN.
You say the latter part but I guarantee they got paid more than last time each so they don't care if da zone flops or not.
Also in his last video logan was pretending there was no fire with KSI and he tried to then correlate it by pretending ksi likely was content by the money itself, which exposes not only how he feels the amount could be significant, but also that they very likely didn't get slighted and both know what they got.

I only watched the last fight because it was all RUclipsrs, it was only 15$, and i felt that the 15$ supported those youtubers. Now if i pay to watch its mostly likely expensive (assuming) and i could care less about supporting the other boxers on the card.
