good video. I installed the Aleko 2700. The Internet has been almost worthless for more technical info. The cement pad is a monster but still the motor is like a huge winch, very powerfull. it is no easy project a large 1,500 lb sliding gate. I am still working on things so they are safe for everyone. Thanx for one of the better videos.
Thanks for posting. I’m having a hard time looking for the video parts 1-4 etc. It would be nice to see the links in the video details. Thanks again. Putting a motor on my gate a few months!
I'd take a self-tapping screw and run it through the chain bracket into the vertical gate pipe it's U-bolted onto. Then it can't work loose and spin on the pipe, making your chain loose...and crooked.
You should always use self tappers on u-bolt brackets. If you don't over time they will spin on the pole. Creating a service call. Because the chain is too loose then what happens more force is applied to the bracket when it finally runs through the slack. Also the jiggle in your pad is because you have to have a footer in your pad at least 30-36" down. The constant back and force play on the pad will work it's way up need to be past the freeze line. Also a good support structure for the constant side to side forces of the operator. The pad will just work it's way out of the ground. I hate fixing installs like this. Example if a operator needs a pad of 24x17 (usually oversize pad 5-6" each direction to allow for a different operator to be installed later on.) like a Hysecurity CNX Operator(Swing Gate Operator). i'll make the pad past the freeze line around 15-20" then with a auger or post hole digger i'll put two footers (i generally use a rule a footer for every 12-16") in pad going down 30-36" depending on how cold the climate is in that area. I will also bell the bottom of my footers so it's locked in after the concrete is set. Will tell you having to redo concrete gets labor intensive and costly very quick. Make sure you only have to do it once. So make sure you put your conduit in the pad. you will always need a power conduit then a comm conduit then i will add conduit for loops to get back to the operator. And if i'm not using them right now i'll tape them off and bury them. Operators don't last forever. Make sure you have at least those min of conduit coming up. If you can't tell I do installs for a living.
I got the same motor gate opener.. I installed two years ago.. but suddenly stop working..remote control got new batteries..so my question is ..what's the comun problem in this kinda motor gate?
After installation it worked for a while then stopped. When pressed the remote, I only getting a click and humming sound and the motor doesn't turn. Can someone please assist me thanks.

Awesome. I am learning with you. I have several gates that need to to be automatic openers.
If you have an angle grinder, you can shorten the chain and keep the end bracket the way you originally installed it.

instead of changing the bracket round WHY DID'NT YOU SHORTEN the chain ? so easy
Question: do you think this product could used on a wood gate? Would I need to frame the wooden gate with a steel frame?
Great video. I'm about to install mine. I think the chain is similar to a bike chain. You can remove links using a bike chain tool.
Thanks Rob.
What size of Post did you use thanks
I don't understand why there can't be a little slack in the chain
IDK why but believe me there will be some slack that you will have to take out in a couple months
Can you tell me how to attach the chain and how to shorten it? Thanks

What gauge wire did you use to connect to the motor? Did you wire it directly from the breaker to the motor?
Great info. Adds in the middle? Boo. You should answer your viewer questions. It’s polite.
why didnt you show the chain installation.
How did you make the gate without tire attached to the gate on the bottom?

Its not supposed to be a straight. The chain is supposed to have 1" of slack per 10' of travel.
