Hello there great video I'm planning on doing my 4 ft chain fence my question is can I use one bag of 80 pd concrete per line post? And also the tubing I am getting are 5'6" how deep do they go thank you any info is greatly appreciated and again great job
I hear “you’re a woman I’m a man” bad boys blue in the background! Y’all know the vibes and good music! Also great video I’m looking to do my own fence here soon! 👍
Getting ready to do my own chain link fence installation... This was a great video with lots of useful information. Thanks for putting in the time to make a quality production to help others.
You’re very welcome! I’ll be making a more detailed one in the future when we put one up at our house. I appreciate you watching. Stay tuned and all the best with putting up your new fence. You got it! What’s the size of the fence you’ll be putting up?
Thanks Guys. Doing a dog run at my house. Looking for a good solid post base connection to concrete and a non raggedy cover to keep it cool in the summer heat. Any advice on that?
Did you do your run? My 46 by 26 foot I am budding right now is 6 foot tall however it is beside a shop so I am doing a Doggy door into the back room of the shop for the boys to get out of the heat/rain snow
Hello great video! I’m about to start my own fence for my new puppy and I was just curious about how much it cost for the 25*25 without the lease area amd only one gate opening? It’s for my back yard just a area to let my puppy relax while I’m working? Thank you for any help with this!!
The closer you can get to exactly 48” between the posts, the better. (Not center of posts but the two outside edges that face each other). Usually a 1/2” of play is allowed to where they will still work fine. I hope that helps?
I am doing a 5' fence, would that mean my end posts get cut at 60" and the line posts are cut at 58"? Also what is the spacing between gates say for a 3' gate and 4' gate
Good vid. thanks. I didn't hear you say how deep the terminal and line posts holes should be. And, the terminal posts are 2 5/8" and the line posts are 1 1/2" ? Why not use a bottom rail too, if for a dog park? I'm looking to DIY chain linked fence around my home, but have a dog, so was thinking it would be better to have both top and bottom rails, with bottom pushed tight as heck down to the dirt. I don't believe the dog would dig herself out--dachshund.
RobHTech The bottom rails would add additional support but that bottom wire should be enough. Then again, a stronger fence never hurts 🙂. Thanks for watching the video, glad you enjoyed it.
When I was a teenager, I was running to catch a ball during a baseball game and slammed into a 6 foot chainlink fence and was impaled with a wire tie that wasn't bent over far enough and was sticking out to far. Fire department had to snip it to get me unhooked. Those things should be twisted inside the mesh and under the top bar.
@@MasteringMayhem Thanks for answering that! 100' on the outside, little more with the entry thing. I'm about to have 310' of 4' high black chain link installed in my backyard because we got a dog. Three gates, one is normal chain link, the two facing the road are aluminum so they look a bit nicer. $10,600 all in. Seems pretty reasonable I guess.
Anyone here know much about pouring a concrete pad, with the poles for a chain-link fence? I've seen the videos where you can add the poles after, with anchors, but that's about it so far.
Plen122 I would get the poles in the ground first and then get the concrete pad in place. That’s all I have for my two cents on that. Let me know what you find out if anyone else shares their insight.
@@MasteringMayhem thanks! Yeah considering the space I'll be working in, I think I'll sink them in concrete like any other post, and then do the pad around them. I have to contain two medium to larger size dogs, so digging and stuff like that is always a concern. But here's something maybe you could answer, for an 8-ft pole in concrete 2-ft deep, It wouldn't shift the base if a 75 lb dog leaned against it, right?
Plen122 I don’t see how it could do that if it’s two feet deep and it’s the bigger 2 5/8” terminal poles all around. I personally wouldn’t put the smaller posts for a heavy dog like that.
@@MasteringMayhem Excellent thanks. I just heard another idea, using sleeves buried in concrete, and the posts inside them, so you could remove the posts later if you wanted easily.
@@MasteringMayhem I figured that, but some watching might not know how critical that is. Just a friendly reminder from someone who responds to gas leaks for a living.
My dogs dog run is 46 by 26 feet lol I felt bad that they didn't have much room they are used to the huge yard but I want grass so I gave them that much room lol
Good video. Accept for the super loud bell that periodically rings in my ear.
Bottom tension wire goes on the inside of the posts/fabric and before stretching.
What a great and informative video! I liked the different angles you gave and all the helpful tips too.
Thanks for the feedback love 🥰

@@MasteringMayhem The fence will be a 5-ft tall residential grade (1⅜"), 150 running feet with a double drive through gate.
@@tresdoobies6581 That’s going to be a serious project. All the best with it.
Hi. What should the space between post be set for a 10 foot drive through gate. How much wider or do we set the post right at 10 feet?
That’s a good looking dog park. Good job! 👍💪✅
Great chain link how to video! I appreciate the upload.
WOOOOOW We use it!
EXCELLENT video and commentary
Friday night lights!!!! Midland, TX on the map bro!!! Lol
How much did this project cost including installation
You sir get a like for the KOL playing in the background...and for the fence

How much of a gap is needed between the post of a door?
great video, super helpful.
do you get the gates pre fabricated?
thanks!
I do get them prefab. Ordered them from a fence company before the project started.

You’re very welcome. Thanks for supporting the channel. I hope you and yours are well 🙂✌️❤️
Great one, Thanks
What if you have to cut the fence wire if your only going 20 feet ? Would I just use wire cutters and put the tensioners?
You cut one of the wires at the top of the fence and twist it counter clockwise and up until it comes out. I hope that helps.
What about the tension wire?
How much spacing do you typically give a gate for the hinges and latches to operate fine?

Stop with the damn bell. But still like the videos

The depth of the poles should be 36”. That’s what I believe is the industry standard.

How much did u charge for this job? Thank u
It was $4,800 appx.
@@MasteringMayhem thank u for answering me.that price including material?
@@aedwards003 Yes. It included the material. We ended up taking home about $3k on that one.

Damn where I live you gotta dig 6ft with the auger.
Where do you live? In North Texas, our dirt is really hard.

Call before you dig!!!!!!!!!
Should istall and tight the tension wire first then chainlink fabric, That is so wrong how you installed the tension wire
Just a reminder.... always call for a Digsafe. You wouldn't want to hit underground electric, gas, anything.
I appreciate the reminder. The company that hired me had that done before I arrived.
