    Nope, don't trust that the C&P examiner will act on your best behalf. Go into the exam with all relevant records printed out and a DBQ form you filled out so you have all your symptoms and diagnoses in front of you. That way nothing is missed. And if the doctor is supposed to measure you with a goniometer (*foot stomp*), make sure he uses one and tells you out loud each measurement as he takes it. If he doesn't have one or refuses to use one, stop the exam and immediately call the organization that scheduled the exam (like QTC) to inform them. If you leave the doctor's office without addressing that issue on the spot, the C&P Examiner can write whatever they want...and then it's an uphill battle for you to overcome their incorrect assessment.

    • @TheCivDiv
      @TheCivDiv  Месяц назад +1

      I wouldn't recommend bringing in a DBQ that the veteran has completed although, I've heard of people doing that. I would much rather bring a DBQ completed by your primary healthcare provider (or private DBQ). Even if the veteran uploaded the evidence. I'd also be prepared to speak on your evidence and only your evidence within your records but this assumes that the current symptoms are captured by the evidence. Dude, thank YOU for being a member!!

    I’ve had good results from VES and QTC exams. I think it depends on who you get and being prepared. I’ve brought medical records highlighted in places I knew were important for the DBQ and the examiner told me it really helped. There is so much information and limited time they can easily miss things in the medical records.

    I hear from Clay’s Videos and other comments in there that VES isn’t good, yet I have to mention that a VES examiner back in 2020 was the best examiner I have ever had hands down, he was patient and listened and took his time going through my Service treatment records you could tell. I have had issues with QTC, so in my experience, they are the bottom-tier contractor.

    File a complaint if you are experiencing a delay with your DBQ or medical opinion!
    Husband emailed the CEO of Maximus-parent company of VES-to ask for assistance in getting the medical opinion the VBA was waiting for moved forward in their process. He received a very prompt and kind response. The next day a liaison called and promised to call every day until the issue was resolved since the complaint had been forwarded from corporate.
    Hopefully VES will be able to wrap this up in the next week or so. It’s been 3 months since the initial exam and 6 weeks since the VBA requested the medical opinion.
