The flash will work as long as there is light hitting the sensor in front of the Speedlite. Definitely work when facing the flash and a little tricky when it's not. There is ETTL cable or transceiver for that purpose.
I find that using the internal flash is a simple and cheap way to use your speedlite. You can be limited with the angle, distance, and the amount of ambient light. The ETTL cord is a cheap way to make sure you get your shot. The down side is they are normally short. The longer ones cost quite a bit. I personally prefer using transceivers. You can purchase a Cactus v5 kit for just over $120 and you will get at least 100ft of freedom. Take a look at my review on it in my channel
if I am in a pretty dark bar. will it works if I hold the flash high on one hand and another hand take pic. you now a lot event photographer doing like that. or in this kind situation better use with ETTL cable?
I was trying to do everything like U said with my speedlight 600 and my canon 600d but It didn't work out. I'm hopeless and don't know what to do . Is it something with my camera or with flesh ? :( I'm gonna cry :(
Martyna Słotosch Some camera and or older version of the speedlight won't communicate together. It might be that they are not compatible. There is alternative to this problem. You can use transceiver like the Cactus v5 or Pocket Wizards instead. The Cactus units are cheaper and works great. I made a video about them if you want to take a look. ruclips.net/video/QcZlSWfaX1c/видео.html
Hi, all you need is an inverted macro ring that will fit your camera type and the thread of your lens. I bought some on amazon for under $10. The lens then become a super macro glass. Here is one of my video on it. ruclips.net/video/dIkb8p5hPLk/видео.html
