Lancaster, a historic city like a smaller version of Edinburgh. There are quiet residential areas in the city, and is only an hour away from Blackpool and the Lake District. I am from Preston but haven't been for a few years.

Well firstly I've never heard that nickname and I've lived in Lancaster since I was 3 (1979). Secondly. The mini park where you're sitting (called the ABC Park) at 2min 30 secs - that's a 2 minute walk from my house 😊 (the street behind those houses you can see going down the hill past the stop sign!)
Thirdly, my husband and I got married at the Ashton memorial - in 2009 😊

Another great video full of facts. Nice one! How did you find out the about the number of people hung in Lancaster as opposed to elsewhere? Very interesting fact I think. That there are a great number of barber shops in Lancaster must have been really noticeable. Again, I like the bits of information you share. Makes the place come more alive.

Ahh well for one thing there was the Pendle witch trails in 1612, but also because the castle used to be a prison, most places would send their prisoners there.
      I hope this helps
