But lies, any lies, is the language of Satan.

Not only is lying sin, but when the children find out it's lies, it teaches them that lying works because they believed the lie for years. How hypocritical that parents teach their children to tell the truth, yet they lie to them for years and teach them to lie.
This belief that it is ok to lie is then passed on to the next generation.
I don't lie to my children because I am VERY aware of what happens to liars.
